Ch. 31 "Slip"

                                         Brooke POV 

I was sitting in my room at the little round table, drawing and coloring, making a picture for Bucky and Daddy, 

Me and Bucky have grown so close, he reminds me of daddy sometimes, just the way he lectures me, 

And the way we have fun, 

Right now everyone was probably asleep it was early, 

I hear the door open and see Bucky, 

"I knew I heard you awake in here," He said 

I covered the picture with both my hands, with a devilish smile, 

"What you got there?" He said sitting in the chair next to me that his knees are close to his chest, 

"It's a surprise," I said smiling at Bucky, 

He chuckled 

"Okay Squirt come on I'm sure you are hungry," He said picking me up, 

"Your father decided to sleep in again," Bucky said 

"Well wake him up silly," I said giggling, 

"That's a little harder than you think," He said chuckling as he balanced me on his hip, 

"Besides that means I get to spend more time with my little squirt," He said ruffling my hair with his hand, 

I giggled as he sat me at the table, 

"What you feeling for breakfast squirt?" He said 

"hmm, waffels," I said clapping, 

"Your soon going to turn into a waffle," He said chuckling 

I giggled, 

"I like your cooking," I said smiling at him as he got the stuff to make the food, I kicked my feet back and forth as I sat on the chair, 

"Yeah one of the perks of winter solider is his cooking," Tony said walking in 

He looked as if he didn't even go to bed, dressed in the same clothes as yesterday, Tony grabbed a coffee cup, 

"No one asked you," Bucky said not sounding happy about the comment

"Oh come on I'm just messing with you," Tony said slapping him gently on the arm, 

"Well don't," Bucky said 

Wonder what's up with them, maybe they need a nap, I thought as I ate the food Bucky made me, 

"Don't you have a suit to repair," Bucky said 

"Don't you have a captain to satis-" Tony began, 

"Don't finish that sentence in front of her," Bucky said glaring at Tony

After watching Bucky and Tony argue for a good while I decided to leave without telling and continue my drawing, 

I finally finished it and decided to go find Bucky hopefully he's not cranky because of Tony, 

I walked around the tower for a good while, 

It was a picture of me, Daddy and Bucky, we were holding hands, sure I'm not a professional artist I'm a child but it's still the thought, right??

Finally I find Bucky, he was sitting outside on the roof looking at the clouds, Daddy was with him, 

"Bucky," I smiled 

He turned around seeing me and smiled, 

"I made you something," I said handing him the drawing, 

Bucky kneels in front of me, taking the drawing, 

"Thank you squirt, it's beautiful," He said 

He kissed my cheek, 

"Your welcome dad," I said smiling 

I didn't realize what I said until it left my mouth because Bucky looked stunned,
