A Little Peace

7:35 PM

         "We're going to be late!!!" I exclaimed as Tavi and I rushed into our hotel room, shopping bags in hand.

          "Calm down mi amor, we'll be fine!" Tavi said as he set the bags down on the couch.

          "Oi, I hate being late to things. It's embarrassing, so we need to hurry." I said as I quickly grabbed my dress and makeup that I had bought.

        I didn't give Tavi enough time to reply before I was already in the bedroom with the door closed. I then tossed my belongings onto the bed as I quickly stripped myself of the clothes I was in and grabbed my dress. I quickly slipped it on and grabbed my makeup, heading towards the bathroom. I began to apply my normal eyeliner, red and purple eyeshadow, and a nude lipstick. I then quickly braided a chunk of hair on each side, pulling them back into a bun with the rest of my hair. I stepped out of the bathroom and stood in front of a full body mirror.

       I had gotten a bright purple, floor length dress with a leg slit. The edges of the dress were lined with red embroidery. I actually felt with my makeup and hair, I really looked good. I can't even begin to think of the last time I actually thought I looked, well, even decent.

      I smiled in the mirror before turning and grabbing my flats. There was no way I was wearing heels if I were to be standing tonight.

      Once I had my shoes on I exited the bedroom and was met with a handsome sight. My lovely partner was decked out in a complimenting red and purple suit, he only had his face mask on and his green dyed hair was slicked back.

      "Wow." We said simultaneously as we gazed upon each other.

       "Y-...you look gorgeous, mi amor." Tavi said as he stepped to me and gently grabbed my hands.

        "And you look handsome, my dear." I said with a sweet smile.

         He pulled his mask down and revealed an adorning smile, "Let's get going, don't wanna be late, remember?"

         I blinked myself into reality and gasped as I looked at the time.

7:52 PM

           "Okay let's go!!" I exclaimed, grabbing his hand and dragging him out of the hotel door.

We both ran down the hallway and to the elevator. I then repeatedly pressed the 'call' button, impatiently waiting for the door to open.

We heard a ding as we both smiled at each other, rushing into the elevator and pressing the first floor button. Tavi tapped his metal foot impatiently as the elevator seemed to be very slowly descending. As the elevator stopped and the doors opened, we rushed out hand-in-hand and running to the exit. Tavi lifted his mask as we ran out of the hotel and bolted it down the street. I lifted the bottom my dress with one hand as i kept pace with Tavi, even though it was a little difficult. I was just glad I had bought flats.

After running for a few blocks, Tavi slowed his pace and I did as well.

"Alright, hermosa. It's right there." He said as he pointed to a building just a little ways away.
