Meggy walked through the massive halls of the gargantuan Quantum in search for Mario. He had run off when he heard about Meggy accepting a proposal from Wren.
What everyone didn't know, was that Triton had left out the fact that she hated his proposal and didn't want to accept it.
Because of his mistake in leaving it out, Mario was off somewhere within a ship that was almost the size of Rio De Janeiro itself. It could take hours to find him if she didn't know where to look.
Luckily, it didn't take long as she found him lost in one of the halls that went to the apartment complexes. Surprisingly, he was really close to hers and her husband's apartment room, so that would be where she would talk to him.

Q-Meggy: Mario? Can we talk for a moment?

Mario: What is there to talk about? Meggy accepted the proposal of some skank...completely leaving me in the dust.

Q-Meggy: That's not true. There's got to be a-

Mario: There's nothing stopping her! There's nothing holding her back! She clearly is in love with him! I know it!

Q-Meggy: How can you be so sure?

Mario: I watched her kiss him a couple weeks ago. And...she looked happy.

Q-Meggy used her key to unlock the door to her apartment.

Q-Meggy: How about we talk about this over some wine?

Mario: No. I shouldn't-

Q-Meggy: I'm not asking.

Mario knew he had to say yes. The way she said it almost scared him. She was dead serious.

Mario: O-Okay...I'll do it.

Q-Meggy: Neat. Now come in. I'll pour you a glass.

The two go inside and Mario looks around at the scenery of the room. It looked pretty generic for an apartment room, but also looked like a room you'd only see aboard some of the nicest cruise ships on the ocean...except, the walls were white and grey, and bright white lights illuminated the room unless candles were lit to create a different source of light.
Mario took a seat at the modernized bar counter and watched as Meggy took out a bottle of aged wine and popped the cork off way too easily for its first time being opened.

Mario: *thoughts* Doesn't it take quite a bit of force to open those? She must be super strong...Stronger than the Meggy I knew.

Q-Meggy: Alright. Now tell me why you think Meggy is done with you...and I only want honest answers, not bullshit ones.

She takes a seat with her glass of wine across from him, leaning against the countertop.

Mario: *sigh* I guess...I have seen clear evidence that she is in love with him. She holds his hand, she kisses him, she-

Q-Meggy: What is the look on her face?

Mario: Huh?

Q-Meggy: If she's anything like me, she will have expressions on her face that clearly give away how she's feeling.

Mario: Well...at first she looked sorry...then she just looked angry.

Q-Meggy: So 'sorry'...She must be feeling sorry about what she's doing in some way then.

Mario: ...Maybe?

Q-Meggy: Not maybe. Yes. She is regretting a decision she made, and was waiting for you to take her back.

Mario: And when I didn't—

Q-Meggy: You're letting the enemy win, and she has no choice but to fall for him.
