The K.E.M.M.O Girls and the Feburary Disaster

Chapter 4 Strange Happenings

The next morning the girls didn’t text at all they were all busy thinking about what their day was going to be like. When they got to school the next morning they were so worried that Mrs. Bumble was going to be there. Mariah and Kennedy didn’t even talk on their way to school, they were so deep in thought. On the bus everyone was silent except for a few kindergartens who were laughing. Even the older kids were quiet.

 

At first recess the girls were talking a little. “What if Mrs. Bumble is okay and she is still our supply teacher today?” Olivia asked. “It would be a nightmare, Mrs. Bumble is still mad at us for the banana peel incident.” Mariah stated. The rest of the recess the girls talked about Mrs. Bumble and how that strange man came in and got Mrs. Bumble after her fall. When the girls entered the classroom instead of Mrs. Bumble, they saw the strange man who helped Mrs. Bumble after her big fall yesterday! When they all sat down he introduced himself as...MR.BUMBLE!  Oh my no one realized that Mrs. Bumble was married, she didn’t wear her wedding ring, maybe she couldn’t because her fingers are so fat and it wouldn’t fit on. The whole entire class was furious, not knowing what to expect of him or what had happened to Mrs.Bumble.

 

He had started going on and on about his wife when no one really cared, we all just sat there like a bunch of bumps on a stump. We were so tired of hearing the name MRS. BUMBLE. But that day we had found out something amazing, at least we thought it was amazing. Mr. Bumble had told us that we were going on a field trip, to a pool in London on Friday! When he told the class, the whole class started getting into their own little conversations about how awesome this trip was going to be. The five girls all turned to each other and Emma says “Guys I'm so excited for this field trip its gonna be so much fun”! “Yeah I’m just hoping that Mrs.Higgins is back for it!” said Olivia. They all agreed. Just then Mr .Bumble yelled, “HEY, YOU LITTLE BRATS NEED TO LISTEN TO ME WHEN I AM TALKING AND THE NEXT PERSON WHO MAKES EVEN THE SMALLEST PEEP WILL BE SENT STRAIGHT TO THE OFFICE!!! DO YOU UNDERSTAND?The whole class became silent.

 

Then the class heard something, it sounded like a really soft and quiet fart. We all looked at each other everyone was wondering who it was, all the boys kept saying that it wasn’t them and all the girls just sat there giggling with their faces all red. They all knew it must have been the teacher! Joey yelled “Hey everyone I think I know who just farted it was Mr.Bumble!” The whole class bursted out with laughter even the five girls. Mr.Bumble got so fed up with the class, he decided that he was going to let the whole class, be dismissed for the day. There was only ten minutes left of the day anyway, and he was getting so tired of being around our class, the whole day.  Everyone was so happy, they didn’t want to stay and spend the rest of the day in Mr. Bumble’s stench.

 

Maddie, Emma and Olivia had to call home to see if someone could come pick them up. Maddie’s older brother answered the phone, “Can you come pick me up? Our supply teacher let us out early.” Emma and Olivia couldn’t get ahold of anyone, so they got a ride from Maddie’s brother. Kennedy and Mariah just walked home. On Maddie, Emma and Olivia’s ride home, Maddie’s brother asked why they got off school early. They explained to him that Mr. Bumble had a little fart and he was so humiliated that he let the whole class out early. “Yeah well I’m home because there was a gas leak at my school.” Maddie’s brother Isaac said. When the girls got home they texted each other right away.

 

Kennedy: I am so scared. I got home from school today and my mom wasn’t there, my mom is never gone when I get home, and if she is she usually leaves a note for me to read! Addison is at my grandma’s after school and Brad is taking the late bus.

 

Mariah: Yeah same with my mom she is usually never gone when I get home from school too! All my siblings are gone, but Conner should be home soon

 

Olivia: Thats so weird, my mom’s gone too but she has to work late today.

 

Maddie: My mom’s gone too!!

 

Emma: My moms gone to. This is freaky!!! What is going on?

The girls logged off their phones

At Mariah’s house, she was sitting on her couch in her room eating a afternoon snack, When the doorbell rang it was her older brother Connor. When he walked in the house he asked “ Hey wheres mom shes supposed to be home by now.” “Yeah i've been wondering the same thing she's not answering my text messages, and the freaky thing is that all of my friend moms aren't home right now either”! they both sat there not knowing what to do…. Meanwhile at Maddie’s house nothing was going on, her older brother was in his room, her other siblings were still in school and her dad was at work, so she turned off her phone and went down stairs…
