The K.E.M.M.O Girls and the Feburary Disaster

Chapter 9 Unexpected

When Mr.Higgins answered the door, Olivia was about to back up from it. Then BAMM! Olivia is down on the ground! “Olivia are you ok?!” Kennedy and Mariah said at the same time. “Oh my! I am so sorry!” Mr.Higgins said running over to help Olivia up. “I’m fine. It was my fault I should have known better than to stand in front of a door. Umm...what are you doing here?” Olivia asked Mr.Higgins. “Well I live here. You girls are going to have to leave. You might get sick.” All 5 girls stopped helping Olivia and stared at Mr.Higgins.

 

“Wait...you live here?” Asked Emma. “Well yes I do. We moved in last week.” “Oh...Well how will we get sick? Is everything ok?” Asked Maddie. “Oh...You haven't heard? Well my wife has come down with a very bad fever and is terribly sick. I thought since your mothers have all came to help me and my kids, you girls would have known.” Mr.Higgins explained. “I guess you girls could come in. Her fever is not contagious anymore.” The 5 girls walked into a small entrance room, and realized on few people have come.

 

He lead them down a small hall that lead to a large bedroom. There lay in a bed was Mrs. Higgins. “Oh...Hi girls!” Mrs.Higgins said with a weak smile. “Are you okay?” Mariah asked. “Yeah, but I have some bad news my doctor said that I have to stay in bed for at least 4 more weeks.” It took the girls a few minutes to realize what that would mean. “Oh-no Mr and Mrs. Bumble are  going to be our supply teacher for the next 4 weeks!”. Emma said with horror. The girls left the room and started discussing how horrible the next weeks are going to be.

 

Then all their moms entered the room, they ran up to them and gave their daughters a big hug. “I’m sorry that I haven’t had time to spend time with you, I’ve been here taking care of your teachers kids.” Maddie’s mom explained. "Did you girls not know that your teacher was sick?" Asked Mariahs mom "No we didn't because our supply teacher said that you were at meetings all week!" Said Emma. “Girls it's not safe for you to be in here right now you might get sick." I will be home in a few hours, so you girls can just hang around the house for a few hours." preached Emma's mom. Ok...fine the girls mumbled! The girls talked on there way to Emma's house since it was a long walk, “Well I guess that solves the  mystery about our moms being  missing. Laughed Mariah. “ Yeah thank goodness I was beginning to wonder where my mom was going everyday,” said Maddie.

 

When the girls got to Emma house they walked up to the front door of the big red brick house, and tried to open up the door but it didn't budge, "this door must be frozen shut, let’s try the back door. Said Emma. So the girls walked to the back of the house, and tried to open that door but it didn't budge! "Hmmm....why are these doors not opening?” Kennedy wondered. “Maybe we should all try pushing together and see if it will budge.” Olivia said.

 

Tthe girls tried but they ended up falling on top of each other laughing. Then someone came, the girls did not know who it was. The person had their hood up and ran right into the door. To the girls surprise the door burst open and the person was lying on the ground. “What do we do now?” Maddie asked. “We should probably see who it is.” Kennedy said pointing at the person who was now getting up. At the same time the girls walked over and pulled down the persons hood. To their horror it was……...MR. BUMBLE.

 

“What are you doing here?” Mariah asked in astonishment. “Well, Mrs. Bumble saw you and she told me to come over here and see if you needed some help.”  “We would have been fine on our own.” Emma said. “How did you even know where I lived?” Mr. Bumble started laughing hysterically. “I’ve lived on this street my entire life, we just never come out because whenever we do we get laughed at.” Mr. Bumble started. “So then what made you come to our school?” Maddie asked. “Just let me finish, When I got a call from your principal I knew that you guys really needed a teacher so I sent Mrs. Bumble.

 

Your principal also told me that your class always behaved, so Mrs. Bumble was delighted to be your supply teacher, but your principal didn’t really tell the truth. When Mrs. Bumble got hurt I was forced to come and fill in for her.” The girls stood there for a few moments in silence, then they thanked Mr. Bumble and escorted him to the door. The girls decided to have a sleepover. Even though they just had one, and there was school the next day, but the girls didn’t care. Emma just couldn’t believe that this whole time Mr and Mrs. Bumble just lived down the street from her.

 

When the girls walked into Emmas house, they walked into this horrible stench, “Eww that smells like cow droppings.” Maddie said plugging her nose. “I know, What is that? Mariah shouted! They walked further into the house and the smell got better, they needed to figure out what that smell is, but instead they went upstairs to Emmas room to blast music and talk, but then once the girls tried to open up the door they noticed that it was jammed, “This is so weird i'm gonna go get the key to my room.” said Emma.

 

So Emma went down stairs and to go look for the key to her room so that she could get into her room. Meanwhile The four girls were just standing there and looking at each other wondering why they keep getting locked out of everything. Then Maddie said “hey while we're waiting i'm just gonna go and slip over to the washroom, I really gotta pee!” she said anxiously. As Maddie walked into the bathroom she almost fainted the smell was so bad, there was that cow dropping smell and it was the strongest yet! “Eww” she said almost gagging.

 

She had to go to the washroom so bad that she had to get over the smell or she was gonna pee her pants, when she approached the toilet she let at a big scream, it was a present that Emma's brother left for them in the toilet! As soon as the girls heard Maddies scream they went over to see what was the matter, When they saw what was in the toilet, they were all gagging and immediately evacuated the bathroom. “I swear I don't think I will ever be able to smell again!” sighed Mariah! They all laughed. “Hey Emma did you end up finding the key to your bedroom?” “Yeah I did actually!” she said excitedly. “Great! said all the girls!”

Emma put the key into the lock and tried to open it, but it didn't budge. Just then “Wait Emma where’s Aiden, said Oliva worried. The girls all paused for a moment, and started rapidly banging on the door. The door finally opened and out came Aiden Wearing all of Emma's cloths and some of her makeup, he even had her under wear on on his head! Emma started screaming at her little brother! “You are so annoying now take off all of that stuff right now before I lose it!” she said in a loud booming voice. While the other girls were secretly laughing because they didn’t want Emma to see.

Once he went back into his room and he took everything off, the girls walked into the bedroom, and smelt the same thing they smell in the bathroom! “Oh great, this is just great!” she sighed. The girls all picked up some gloves and started cleaning Emmas room while Aiden just sat on Emma's bed staring at them. Just then Emma realized that Aiden was still in her room and yelled at him to get out and go clean the bathroom.
