The K.E.M.M.O Girls and the Feburary Disaster

Chapter 7 The Bumble Surprise

The next day the girls were getting ready for school, while texting. The girls were such best friend that every morning even on the weekends they would text each other wondering, what they were wearing of what was there plans for the day, so pretty much the girls knew what each of their friends were doing each day of the week. Which was pretty cool.

 

While they were texting they were talking about what Mr.Bumble had said yesterday, how he wasn't going to come back because he didn't like us that much. They went on and on about how scary Mr.Bumble was, but they didn't realize the time, it was almost time for Emma, Olivias, and  Maddies bus to arrive at their houses. Mariah and Kennedy like to leave around the same time the girls bus came to pick them up, which was around 8:25 because classes start at 8:50.

 

Just as Olivia was about to start brushing her teeth, her brother came up stairs and just as she was about to put her toothbrush in her mouth, he said “Hey Olivia just so you know the dog was trying to get at your toothbrush yesterday , and he couldn't get it so I gave it to him, so you might not wanna use it.”He went off laughing. Olivia put down her toothbrush with a disgusted look on her face, went into her room to grab a piece of minty fresh gum, she didn't have time to brush her teeth, the bus was about to arrive at her house, and she couldn't miss it. The bus ride was boring for the three girls, they just sat there and looked out there windows. Although Kennedy and Mariahs walk to school was very interesting. As Kennedy approached Mariahs house she went up to the door and as usual Mariah was just heading out the door to meet Kennedy. As the girls started on there way to school they decided that they wanted to go past the house that has two really annoying dogs, that always bark at you when you walk past them.

 

As soon as the girls reached the house they quickly ran right past it , but they weren't quick enough, the two dogs came charging at them and chased the two girls all the way to school, luckily there shock collars wouldn’t let them go past the big pine tree. The girls stopped to catch their breath, then continued walking, when Kennedy and Mariah reached the school they realized that the buses already came, and that they were late for school, they walked into the schoolyard, and the three girls came running up to them and said “What happened to you guys why are you so late?”

 

“Well we wanted to go past the house with the two dogs, and I guess that just slowed us down!” Kennedy replied. Just then the school bell rang and it was time for classes to begin, while the girls were getting there snow stuff off, Mr.Bumble walked in. the whole class was shocked he said that he wasn't going to come back, because he didn't like us, well he probably couldn’t choose if he wanted to come or not.

 

The girls had an idea that he would of had to come back anyway, But what they didn’t know was that Mr. Bumble had someone with him. Standing there beside him acting so innocent was...his wife and their former supply teacher Mrs. Bumble. The girls were not expecting her to be there. “Why is she here?” Emma asked pointing to Mrs. Bumble. Maddie, still was in shock thinking back to the “Wonderful” times she had with Mrs. Bumble. Mrs. Bumble came over and said “Hi girls I would like to apologize for getting you in trouble a few days back.”

 

“Oh that’s okay, forgive...and forget right” Olivia said between giggles. After Mrs. Bumble left to go see her husband Mr. Bumble. The girls were trying to decide if they could ever get over what she made them do. She even gave them nightmares.

 

“I can’t get over the things Mrs. Bumble did to us when she was our supply teacher.” Maddie explained. Just then Mr. Bumble had the worst news possible to tell the class. He told the class that Mrs. Bumble was going to stay and help him for today, since yesterday didn’t go so well. The class was so disappointed! It was hard enough for them to put up with Mr. Bumble, but now they had to put up with Mrs. Bumble too.

 

The girls knew this was going to be a long day and as they guessed, it was. Then the girls realized something, it was Thursday, tomorrow they were going on a field trip to the pool in London. “Uh-oh what if Mrs. Higgins isn’t back and we have to go with Mr and Mrs. Bumble?” Mariah said. “If Mrs. Higgins isn’t back tomorrow then I hope that Mr and Mrs. Bumble don’t go in with us.” Olivia said. They all stood there for a minute visualizing what that would look like. “Ew, that was a gross sight!” Emma said trying not to throw up.

 

As the girls talked about what bathing suit they were going to wear and what shoes they were bringing, just the way that girls talk. Mr.Bumble yelled at the class and told them to stand up and get in a line , it was time for GYM CLASS. “Oh no!” said all five of the girls. Gym class was always bad because, whenever there was a supply teacher Mrs.Higgins told the teacher to make us play dodge ball, it was always horrible because the boys in our class made sure that the teams were boys vs girls!

 

That alway meant that someone was going to get hurt and everyone always hoped that they aren’t that person. The class got into the gym and right away Mr. Bumble started yelling at the class to get in a straight line in the middle of the gym. Then Mr. Bumble started numbering them off 1,2,1,2,1,2 and so on. Then Byron said “Hey Mr. Bumble you missed me.” Mr. Bumble was so angry that he couldn’t take it anymore he left the room. Mrs. Bumble was chasing after him trying to calm him down. The class broke into a full out dodgeball war, they were throwing and kicking the balls everywhere. Just then Mr. Bumble and Mrs. Bumble entered the room and were welcomed by 10 dodgeballs to the face.

Everyone froze, Mr. Bumble walked to the middle of the room, with Mrs. Bumble right on his tail. They stood there for a minute not saying a word. He had that look on his face that meant he wasn’t happy…… All of a sudden the school bell rang and their class was dismissed for the day!
