Background Info

Alex (Best Friend):

Gender: Non-binary (says they do not want to be tied down by labels)

Sexuality: Queer

Age: 19

Hobbies: Watching anime, doing art, playing instruments, and riding their skateboard

Look: Japanese and American. They have dirty blonde hair that goes down to their shoulders and is dyed blue, but the roots have grown out. They have brown eyes and freckles as well as a pale complexion. They have multiple piercings: 2 lobes, upper lobe, industrial, helix, and tragus. They have two tattoos: one on their wrist of tanjiro's earrings and one of a hibiscus flower on their calf.

Backstory: Their mom is American while their dad is Japanese. They split up when Alex was around 10. While their mom got full custody of them and stayed in America to raise them, their dad went back to Japan and got full custody of Alex's brother. Now that Alex is an adult, they want to go to Japan one day to see their father again. Because the split up happened at a very young age, Alex has become a sort of "bad boy" in a sense. They are also a super senior in high school.

Eden (First Person):

Gender: Female

Sexuality: Pansexual

Age: 17 (about to turn 18)

Hobbies: Watching anime, playing and listening to music, playing videogames, reading, and skateboarding

Look: Is American. Has dark brown hair, brown eyes, freckles, and an olive complexion. Wants to have tattoos and piercings, but her parents won't allow it and she is not yet 18. Is a hopeless romantic and dreams of having her own love story one day, despite being a little awkward and having social anxiety.

Backstory: Eden's parents are very strict and put a lot of pressure on her. Sometimes it almost feels like Eden is in a cage and can't get out, slowly suffocating her. Sometimes the feeling gets too strong for her, and she gives into it: doing self-harm and having suicidal thoughts. She has communicated these feelings with Alex, so whenever she feels like this, Alex tries to get her away from her house so that she can get her mind off things. Eden's only reasons to keep going is that she has a dream of becoming a musician and she wants to be a good friend for Alex. Is a senior in high school.

Hello, this is Jayden the author speaking. I just wanted to warn you all that this is my very first story ever, so it might not be as good as you were hoping. This chapter is really just about what characters are going to show up in the next chapter. This background information is just to get to know them and understand their situation.
