Slowly walking down the trail, with mountains of trash and junk beside me, the smell of the junkyard was foul. It wasn't too strong; I must've gotten used to the odor that lingers around this place. The sky was clear and sunny, but a bit too sunny. I was sweating bullets in my white oversized hoodie, but it was ripped and dirty all thanks to the new guard dog that was aggressive for no reason at all. It completely sucked being here, but of course, my dad and mom never got along so it ended up in a divorce. Sometimes I miss my mom and her bright red lipstick with her soft big curls covering her eyes. She was too busy though; she was barely home but when she was. It was fun, but I guess I wasn't enough, I wasn't enough to want, I wasn't enough to keep around, because if she was, I wouldn't be here.

I finally reach the dusty and old white trailer, the trailer I call home. I see someone leaning against the trailer she had a bright pink top tucked in her low-cut shorts. I could see that it was my friend, Luna. How do I know? She's the only nicely dressed person that I know, that would make time to come down here, I slowly approach her. She was staring straight at the ground and her fingers playing with her ponytail. She didn't look up until I said something, "Hey" I blurted out quickly, with a smile on my face and moving my fingers and hands. She quickly looked up and her grey eyes softened, and her smile spread across her face instantly, her smile was so contagious. I couldn't help grinning a little wider. She pulled a bucket of rainbow-colored chalk behind her "I got these yesterday, do you wanna draw?" Luna giggled. So that's how we spent most of our afternoon, playing, drawing, running, and laughing. It was around evening when we were introducing what we drew.

I went first, and I drew big squares with drawings in the middle. There were 6 of them. One of them had a suit and a hat but no face, and in another square, there was an hourglass with a gear near it. "Imagine a world with you were granted with these abilities!" I giggled, " We could do almost anything we wanted, and nobody could stop us! Which one would you want?" Luna glanced over at my drawings and squinted at them. She grabbed her chalk and drew two more squares, one with a giant lightning bolt in the middle and one with a puppy dog's paw with animal scratches in the background. Luna was a way more talented artist than I was. " What are those?" I asked. "Yours looked confusing so I made simpler ones!" She grinned, "One of them grants you amazing electricity powers and the other one you can talk and become animals!" I was kinda amazed, they sounded way cooler than mine. I wish she drew them instead, "What did you dr-" I was interrupted by a loud honk, I quickly turned around to see a black pick-up truck with boxes and furniture in the back. I turned around to look at Luna, and her whole expression darkened. Her lips were quivering, and she almost looked like she could either cry or scream, maybe even both. "I-I'm so sorry, I didn't tell you sooner." Luna whispered, I could barely hear her, but I understood what she said, "Sorry about wh-" The loud honk returns, beeping multiple times. I could see Luna flinch, " Xamria...I'm moving" My eyes widen and stared at her, but she could barely keep eye contact. "Why didn't you-" but once again the truck beeped and honked multiple times. She breathed in and exhaled out "I know I should've told you sooner, but I couldn't find the right time to do so. Now I have to go, and I didn't even get the chance to stay and talk to you more, I don't want to go Luna. I just don't have a choice, I hope you understand and forgive me sooner or later, I'll never forget you," Luna said quickly. She walked and passed me, as I was still sitting. I turned around and she was already near the truck. Before Luna went inside, she turned and said "If destiny is real, our paths may cross again" Luna said with a grin. She ducked inside and drove off, and just like that she was gone.

I just sat there, and I laid back down and stretched my legs. A lot was racing through my mind, but it's usually better to deal with it after a nap. I closed my eyes and let my empty mind drift off into a quiet sleep.

"A-Are you serious!" a voice went, "What the hell are you doing on the dirty ass ground! You dog! Y-you stupid kid" I see, that voice. That was the sound of my drunk father, I opened my eyes, and it was night. I felt his foot slam into my back, I bit my lip and winced in pain a little. I turned around completely to smell the hard liquor and beer coming from him, the smell was intoxicating and way worse than the dumpster and junk here. " What the hell are you doing! sleeping on the floor? p-ast..your bedtime? Dumb children like you need to learn something" He was stumbling for his belt, good thing he could barely stand straight because everything inside me just bolted. I ran, as far as I could and as hard as I could. I was tired, emotionally, and physically. I could not handle it anymore; I ignored my father's screams and yells for me to come back. I ignored it all, I felt sick. I stopped; how could anything get worse? I ended my thoughts quickly before I had jinxed myself, I looked up to see a shooting star. I wish for something to change for the better, I had no other hope but to rely on some dumb star they flew by. The moon was bright and a few stars in the night sparkled. I stared at the shooting star, but the star got closer and closer only to find out It was a meteor coming right at me! It blew up and I soared across the sky and slammed to the ground.

I woke up completely dizzy, and my vision was a blur. I turned in front of me to see a huge crater in the middle of the junkyard, I crawled near the crater only to see a huge pink dice in the middle. The dice colors were so bright it pained my eyes a little, "Why me? Why me? Why me? Why me?" I murmured multiple times; I don't understand. Why out of all things, why does the universe want me to suffer? My ankle was bleeding due to broken glass bottles, and a couple of pieces were still in. It hurt, it hurt a lot. I felt as if my whole life was just torture, tears welled up in my eyes and quickly came down my face. I was sobbing so hard that it turned my stomach in a twist, I was gripping my hoodie and letting out a scream as if it was going to ease the pain.

"What do you desire?" I rubbed my eyes and looked around for a person "Xamira! What have you always wanted?" I looked straight at the dice in the middle of the junkyard, have I gotten..crazy? " All that pain and sadness can be taken away! Just ask!" The voice echoed a bit in my ears "What do you want? Tell us! Tell us!" The voice had gotten louder. Gripping upon the dirt, as the bright pink light consumes eyes. Shutting my eyes tight close, As the question continues to echo throughout my head and mind "What is that you want? What is your greatest desire" All my sobbing and screaming wouldn't do anything, the question continues wondering and bouncing through my head repeatedly, an endless cycle of what I want, what is it I've always wanted? Holding onto my ears to see if it would get any quieter, it only grew louder. Pleading and begging for this mystical object and voice to go away and sobbing so hard that my eyes feel like they are burning, and my stomach sickens. The question is asked more and more times, ripping out pieces from my past giving me constant flashbacks constant memories, until I finally yell out " I DONT WANT TO BE ALONE ANYMORE" I stuttered a bit but then I continued "I-I WANT EVERYONE TO PLAY WITH ME, I DONT WANT ANYONE TO LEAVE ME ANYMORE" "I'm tired..of being so..lonely" I quickly look around as I slowly open my eyes looking down at the big pink dice in the middle of the junkyard losing light, suddenly a bright light from the dice reappears, blinding me. Turning everything white, I couldn't see or hear anything. Until a voice speaks out.
