28; Gala Party II

Xiao Zhan's eyes went from the moving lips of his mother in law to the people she was speaking with. His smile remained on his face, he could feel his jaw aching so badly as he had been smiling too much already. His mother in law had been introducing him to so many people...he lost count of the amount...never in his life had he socialized this much and the night had not even begun.

He stared down at the glass in hand, filled with a sliver colored wine while his mind debit with him, should he drink it slowly and gulp it down his throat as his mind told him to, he brought it to his lips and took a sip, dumbing the idea, he didn't want to embarrass his mother in law.

His eyes went around, he could not find Wang Yibo in sight, he pouted, realizing he had been left alone, he nibbled his lip before placing his glass down. "Excuse me, I need to use the restroom"

His mother-in-law beamed at him. "Be back soon, we'll be leaving for the auction hall soon. Meet us there if you can't find us here"

Xiao Zhan nodded and smiled at the people before leaving, disappearing around the hall as he asked the servers for the restroom, Xiao Zhan sighed as he found it, after walking further and further away from the main hall.

He pushed the doors and made his way inside, finding it empty. He went over to the toilet and did his business before stepping out but halted for a second as he found a man pinning a feminine male figure in a serving outfit on the wall while kissing down his neck.

Xiao Zhan poked his inner cheek, suddenly irritated by such an inappropriate scene in the restroom. He ignored them and went over to the sink, washing his hand, he tried not to pay attention to the scene happening behind him till he heard whimpers of disapproval, his eyes snapped up at the mirror, staring at their reflection, Xiao Zhan frowned as he realized the smaller person was struggling and crying to get free while the man continued to pepper kisses all over.

Xiao Zhan leaned closer to the mirror, noticing something familiar about the smaller male, and his eyes widened as he realized, instantly he turned and pulled the man forcefully away by his clothes, shielding the other male who hid at his back.

The man smirked, annoyed at the thought of being interrupted from his fun. "And who are you, do you want to enjoy the fun cute  bunny?" He licked his lips lustfully as he took in Xiao Zhan's figure.

Xiao Zhan stared at him with disgust "You are going to regret it if you don't leave" he warned in a deadly and low tone.

The man chuckled before reaching his hand towards Xiao Zhan's cheek but a hand grabbed his wrist before he could make contact, the man cried out as his wrist was twisted.

Xiao Zhan's eyes snapped to the owner of the hand, finding an unfamiliar man in a stainless tuxedo, brown hair and brown eyes with a strand of hair falling his left eyes. Xiao Zhan noticed his sharp features and muscular firm.

"Does your wife know you're here molesting guys" he shoved him against the sink.

Xiao Zhan shivered at his cold tone, slightly reminding him of someone.

The man groaned, holding his wrist. "You'll pay for this" he gritted before leaving.

Xiao Zhan immediately turned to the boy behind him, checking if he was hurt or anything. "Are you alright, why do I keep running into you in such situations and where's your brother?" He checked both sides of his face for any injury.

The boy glanced up at his rescuer and his eyes widened as he recognized the male. "Y-you" he stuttered. "You've saved me again!" The boy beamed brightly with gratitude, going down his knees but Xiao Zhan stopped him.

"What are you doing?" He chuckled and poked the boy's chubby cheeks. "I didn't do much this time, thank this handsome fellow" he referred to the man staring at the scene with amusement, the boy turned and thanked the man for his help.

"Where's your brother, how's your mother?" He recalled, wondering if the little boys he saved that day that landed him in the cell got their mom out from the hospital but Xiao Zhan's smile fell as the boy's eyes saddened. "She didn't make it"

"Oh"

The boy grabbed Xiao Zhan's hand broke into a wide grin. "I never got the chance to thank you for what you did for my brother and me that day, you saved our lives and you saved mine once again"

"It's fine, just spend a night in the cells" Xiao Zhan turned to the man who helped them, he bowed gratefully. "Thank you so much for what you did back there"

"My pleasure" he smiled. "I never thought there would come a day when someone would enter his cold heart"

Xiao Zhan frowned. "What are you talking about?"

The man chuckled, the voice sounded mellifluous in Xiao Zhan's ears. "My bad, please let me introduce myself. My name is Wang Haikuan, your brother in law" he grinned widely, noticing the stunned look on his face.

"I didn't know Wang Yibo had an elder brother"

"I've been away for a while, I returned yesterday. I believe Wang Yibo doesn't know of my arrival yet" his eyes went to the small figure still behind Xiao Zhan. "Kid, you should get back to work if you don't want to get fired by your boss if he finds you missing, and make sure to stay away from the men"

Xiao Zhan reeled to the boy. "What's your name?"

"Zhen FanXing" he answered.

"Come find me later FanXing"

FanXing nodded before leaving the restroom, leaving the two together.

Haikuan tilted his head. "Shall we go look for your husband?"

Xiao Zhan nodded and they walked out from the restroom but he noticed they were not heading back to the main hall.

"Where are we going?"

"You won't find anyone at the main hall, they are all in the auction hall" Haikuan answered casually.

"What are they auctioning?"

"I believe you will find out soon"

Xiao Zhan didn't say anything as he was led, for some reason, he trusted this man and felt a sense of safety in his presence.

Xiao Zhan stared in amazement as they entered the auction room. It was large, filled with couches, a round table in front of each, already occupied by people while at the front was a huge alter, a stage set up for the auction that hadn't started.

"Do you find Wang Yibo anywhere?" Xiao Zhan asked, his eyes scanning around the room.

Haikuan suddenly chuckled. "He seemed so patience too, little Didi has changed a lot"

Xiao Zhan followed his line of sight and his eyes landed on a familiar black hair male, sitting in the middle of the room but his eyes hardened and his jaw clenched as he saw a lady clinging on his arm while he did nothing but stared at the stage ahead of him.

Xiao Zhan's hand clenched into a fist and his legs carried him forward.

Haikuan smirked in pure amusement. "The bunny looks cute when's he's mad" he chuckled and followed silently behind Xiao Zhan.

Seemed the tiger was gonna be attacked by a cute bunny and he wouldn't miss such a scene.
