"Ooh! I know!!! Let's put teal curtains on the window and then paint the walls a super light lilac!!! I mean... if you want, I don't know- it seems like a good idea."
"It is a good idea. I say we try it"
After about an hour they decided on the colors and moved the furniture away from the walls. Aanya Conjured teal curtains and also conjured LED lights to put around the room. Sophie went to get the paint, and before they knew it, they were done. After a few hours of painting, both girls were exhausted and fell asleep quickly.
After a week or so, the council hailed Aanya on her imparter and asked her to come to Kenric's castle for some important information. Once Aanya arrived, a lot of stuff was in boxes, so she assumed that Kenric was being kicked out or voluntarily leaving. Then again, they might just be moving something around or renovating and she was overthinking it- like usual.
Councillor Emery spoke first. "Well, Aanya we called you for two pieces of important information. The first is that we voted that councillors can get married, but if they get married to another councillor only one will be permitted to remain on the council." With a smile in Kenric and Oralie's direction, he said "And that brings us to the second piece of information, which has two parts"
Aanya had a very clear idea of what the first part might be but was curious about the second.
Kenric cleared his throat and started talking. "So, Aanya. What you told Oralie and I about a week ago made us wonder, and now that there is a new rule regarding marriage in the council, we have decided to leave the council. Well, rather, I have decided to leave the council. Oralie will stay. And that brings us to the second part of this. I-...We... Well, our lives have changed after meeting you. A lot. And, if you want, we would be willing to adopt you once we are married."
Aanya was shocked. Taken aback. Do they want to adopt me? Aanya didn't trust her voice so she ran and tackle-hugged them. Oralie and Kenric hugged her back and they just stood there for about five minutes.
"Yes. A million times yes."
The other councillors looked pleased with the decision as well and Bronte was smiling- surprisingly, his prehistoric face had dimples.
Two weeks later, Kenric and Oralie were getting married. The house was being constructed and every elf knew about the marriage. Kenric had been replaced with Dame Alina, former principal of foxfire (the elves' most prestigious school). Before the marriage, Oralie was fixing Aanya's hair and they were talking about the marriage when Sophie arrived.
"Hi guys... um, Oralie, Keefe told me to tell you that Kenric actually combed his hair. I know, it's really random", Said Sophie (a/n this is sooo cringe save me from the cringe bye~)
"Actually! How is Keefe by the way? I haven't seen him for a while.", asked Oralie
"He's doing well, oh and Aanya, He told me to tell you that he Kenric messed up his hair too"
"That sounds like Kenric. Of course, anything anyone would do to Keefe's hair makes it worse, according to him."
Then Aanya started a telepathic conversation with Kenric.
Hi. What's up. Oralie is fixing my hair... How are you?
Good. Oh dear, once Oralie starts, she won't stop.
UWU, your mental voice is so happy. Also, do you have experience with Oralie doing stuff to your hair?
Uh...Yes. She turned my hair green once. It didn't end well.
Cool... So it's going to be Fitz and Sophie behind you and Keefe and I behind Oralie, Right? Something about Ring Boys and Bridesmaids or something of the sort
Yes. And I will tell you that Keefe and Fitz look good right now. Their hair is styled an-
Yeaaaaaaaaah, I'll see for myself later then... Oralie is looking at me like I'm crazy. Which I probably am, but I better go.
Ok bye, see you in a bit.
Oralie finally finished doing god knows what to her hair, and the two were ready. At last.
