Eyes. A pain to open, weren't they?
You struggled to open them as you woke up, the sun blistering your body. Tears began to slowly welling up in your eyes, your disheveled form choking out a sob as you layed in the grass, unable to move your calves, aswell as your feet and toes.
Your lower legs were burnt to a crisp, almost undetectable, while your feet were just toasty, courtesy of Akainu.
Not like you remembered that he really did it, the immense pain was too much for you to handle, it definetly recessed some memories for your poor soul.
"Help.." you uttered out like a pathetic little mouse who was stuck in a glue trap, starting to scream in pain just, hoping someone would hear your cries, "HELP ME PLEASE!"
You curled up into a ball, holding your head in your hands, trying to scrape your eyes open, terrified of not being able to see what was going on twenty-four seven.Just how Unlucky you were...
.....
You woke up in a cold sweat, almost drenched in it, you quickly began looking over at the body next to you. The person was snoring like a baby who had been running around all day, and got a little sick.
Luffy.
You knew his brother, Ace, only when he was born though, it was sad how his mother died. She was a beautiful woman.
Your arms wrapped around him in a protective manner as your face burried into his hair, scared of loosing one of the few you really cared about, the people that you really cherished in your lifetime.
"Luffy.." you whispered, shaking like a leaf in the fall wind.
Although you were strong, you needed protection more than anyone else in this crew- the strongest may not always have the beat mindset, your mind was a fragile little thing, and you hated it- because everything else about you was stronger than anything.
Then again, you hated everything about yourself that there was to hate. Especially your unfortunate luck, and besides your strength, but most of yourself- you view those as cons, one hundred percent.
Arms slithered around you in a protective manner- way more protective than your hold was, You heard luffy muttering a small "yeah?" As he scooted closer, his chest touching your back in a comforting manner.
That was all you needed, just a response, and you melted, falling back asleep in a matter of seconds. Only because luffy was there, he was one of the only people you'd let protect you.
He looked at you, eyes laced with a sleepy concern until he noticed your eyes were fully closed shut, then let his head fall with a loud snore following.
....
The next morning, you woke up to luffy shaking you awake, what were you, zoro? Waking up like that was not how you wanted to start your damn day.
You groaned as he shook you rapidly, clearly irritated with the way luffy was behaving. He stopped, frowning now that you wouldn't get out of bed, "breakfast is ready!" He yelled, and almost knocked you out of the damn hammock.
Groaning once again, you slowly got out of said hammock, making luffy grin uncontrollably- almost like nothing else had happened- and run out of the room.
Sighing to yourself you raised your hands to rub the sleep out of your eyes, and walked yourself out onto the front deck, smiling and waving at Robin with a blank look in your eyes. It looked like you were like- a demon or something, you never looked like that- not even when you had a nightmare, so just what was going on in your brain?
