Pulling up to Marineford was probably the coolest thing you'd ever done in life.
You stood, a serious expression as the ship pulled into marineford.
Your eyes closed, sensing everyone's auras as you stood on the edge of the ship, you jumped up into the air, your foot that was covered in Armament crashing against Akainus arm that was about to come in contact with Luffy.
You smiled at him, "sup." You said softly, then turned to akainu, grabbing his arm, and throwing him to the side.
You never ceased eye contact with Akainu, and nor did he to you.
"So you made yourself a lowly pirate, again?" He growled, and grabbed at you, only to be punched and sent flying.
"No, I'm not lowly Akainu, shut up.." you whispered, your eyes tearing up, "fuck you."
He punched you, and you lessened the hit with your haki, landing near Sengoku.
You stood, letting Luffy take over the damn volcano.
Your gentle expression never faltered, only smiling at the old man.
He smiled back, "its nice to see you again, but not under this circumstance." He murmured, and readied his fists.
"You're really going to fight me?" You asked, titling your head, "you could beat my ass, I kinda don't want to." You laughed, your hands out infront of you.
"But if I must-" you suddenly glared at him, "ill do whatever it takes to get my Nakama back."
He smiled, "no, I don't want to fight you, I remember when you were young, fighting with Roger."
You looked to the side, "yeah, we helped with Rocks D. Xebec, and aided in his defeat." You thought for a moment.
"Wait I said that twice." You grumbled, and glared.
"My point is, is that even though you were young, you still managed to...kick ones ass, as you'd say." He said, smiling at you.
"Well, I mean- yeah i guess." You casually flipped over the Marine who tried to stabbed you, and smashed his head into the ground while staring at a horrified sengoku.
"He was threatening my Nakama, you don't do that. So I will do whatever it takes to keep my Nakama's promise, my best friends promise to try my best and keep his son alive." You said, your eyes covered by shadow.
Sengoku nodded, even if you were covered in his comrades blood, he couldn't help but look up to you. He admired how much you loved your family. Your Nakama.
You took a good swing at sengoku, sending him flying.
You walk towards him, "youre lucky you're one of them."
He watched, eyes wide as you walked away, even if he had that bruise forming on his face.
He was honored to be one of your Nakama.
You looked around, unsure of where to go until you saw Ace.
You bolted, trampling over many rookies, crushing their skulls, and crushing their arms, crushing even the most disturbing and painful of parts.
You inhaled, and exhaled "ACE!" You screamed, your voice silencing the crowds.
"IF YOU DIE, IM GONNA KICK YOUR ASS!"
All the pirates smiled, knowing that there was so much sadness and hurt hidden behind those words, so much mystery.
Your eyes teared up as you began running towards him, "YOU WONT DIE, AND YOU CANT!"
You were about to punch the chains, getting knocked to the floor by garp, who was trying not to cry as you looked up at him, "Get off of me!" You yelled, and squirmed against him, but he held you with haki coating his arms, forcibly keeping you in place.
"Get AWAY!" You continued to squirm even more, tears threatening to spill.
He continued to hold you, but your will wouldn't let him stay.
"I. Said... OFF!" Your back arched at your eyes gleamed red, knocking down ANYONE who was near by, and i mean anyone.
You stood up, and glared at Garp, "how can you let him die...You took care of him for a reason." You said as you walked, breaking Ace's chains with one confident bash.
He looked up at you, you looked down at him.
"...Y/n..?" He remembered you, cradling him and singing a lullaby When he was 4 or 5, even though he hit you and hurt you more than ever.
-Memory-
"And when the stars shine, I think of you." You booped his nose, earning the childish laugh you craved.
"You're my star, my light, you make the world right.." you smiled, and pressed a kiss to his nose, "You're my light."
He wrapped his arms around your neck, and you responded by pulling him close ever so tightly.
He pouted at this, but let you do so.
"Oh ace." You said, laughing.
"Would you like to hear a story about your fathe-"
"NO! I hate him!" He said, and pushed away, earning a frown.
"Why..?"
"He left me here..all alone, and everyone hates me!" He exclaimed, and looked away.
"Well, i don't hate you." You said softly.
"I don't care! Everyone else does! I'm wanted dead because of him!"
"Thats why I'm here, to protect my little ball of fire." You smiled sweetly, and reached out to rub his cheek.
He slowly let you. Tears spilled from his eyes.
"My baby...come here." You said, and pulled him into your arms once more.
He tensed, and began to sob into your chest, gripping your shirt.
You frowned, and patted his back, "im here, ill always be here to protect you." You said softly.
"I'll always be here."
-Memory end-
"Im always here Ace." You said with a smile, and picked him up.
His face flushed as he stared up at you.
"Wow, you're actually here, I missed you." He laughed.
"Alright, alright i get it, but we have to go. We can't have you dying on us, I'd have to resurrect you and kick your ass so hard, you'd die again." You smiled, and jumped off the platform he was on, happily walking towards the dock.
You didn't plan for the whole of marineford to split in half.
"What the FUCK-" You stumbled as you saw the ground shifting, almost dropping your fireball.
You gripped him tightly, only looking to see akainu, grinning.
Your eyes widened as you looked at your leg, it was seared through, you didn't register the pain.
You only registered the words that left his lips, "you will die here, along with these other pirate scum."
Everything went black.
