"Caluuum."
I rolled my eyes at Michael's whining.
"Calum, don't ignore me." He pouted, looking up at me.
"Shut up."
"Why-"
"Because I'm busy."
"With what?"
"Homework, dickhead." I snapped. He sat up straighter and rolled his eyes.
"Homework is stupid."
"Yeah, but if I don't do it, I'm in deep shit." I chuckled, shaking my head.
Michael smiled. "But why are we in the library?"
"Are you seriously asking me that?" I looked at him.
He rolled his eyes. "Whatever. I'm bored."
"Do your homework. That's what we're here for." I sighed.
"But it's so boring!" He pouted.
"You know what?" I slammed my textbooks shut, standing up. Michael frowned up at me.
"Where are you going?"
"I'm taking a break."
"Then stay here-"
"I'm going to take a look around the library, okay?" I shook my head and walked away.
I looked through the books in the huge ass library we had. I liked reading. A lot. I wanted to find a good book. I also wanted to get away from Michael.
I felt someone tug at my arm and rolled my eyes. "Fuck off Michael-"
"Hi."
I froze. The person didn't sound like Michael. Or a guy. I turned around.
"H-hey, I-"
The petite girl in front of me just giggled, shaking her head. "Sorry if you thought I was your friend. Not to be rude or anything, but why are you friends with such an ass?"
I frowned at the girl. She was petite, really skinny and pretty. Brown curls fell around her face. Her big green eyes made her look like a cat. A cute cat.
"You talked to Michael?"
"Mhm." She nodded. "I walked past and he tried flirting with me. He's terrible at it, by the way."
I let out a laugh, nodding in agreement.
"I-oh, sorry." She let go of my arm and blushed lightly.
"It's okay...er, why are you talking to me?" I raised an eyebrow.
"Oh. Well, I saw you with him-sorry, Michael earlier, and I also saw you leave. I just thought I would come over and tell you that he was being annoying." She shrugged.
"Ah, okay. Thanks." I nodded.
"For what?" She frowned slightly.
"For talking to me." I laughed a little, looking down.
"Why wouldn't I? You seem pretty cool." She shrugged.
I stared at her in shock.
"What?" She frowned.
"N-nothing...it's just...you called me cool. I'm a loser." I shrugged, looking down again.
"You are. What's your name?"
"Calum. Calum Hood."
"Nice. Rosie Everly." She smiled.
"That's a beautiful name." I mumbled. She blushed.
"Thanks...er, your name is nice too."
"Thanks." I looked back up at her. She smiled again. I smiled back.
