Xiangling X Reader

A traveler, happening to come across Liyue one day. You decided to explore the town for a bit.

It was very rare for a traveler and survivor to not know how to cook, but you still managed without learning the art of cooking.

You were starving when you reached Liyue and decided to check out the restaurants over there.

That's when a girl, around your age, called out to you.

You went over there, noticing she was cooking something. It smelled awesome.

"How much do they cost, miss?" you said politely fetching out your pouch of mora.

"No- no. they don't cost anything, I am trying a new dish, and just wanted to give it to someone for testing."

"But they smell so good, surely this isn't your first time making these." You said as you bent down and took one deep breath.

Xiangling blushed at your comment. Then she bent down, stirred the dish a few times, and gave it to you in a bowl.

You sat down on a rock and ate the first bite. It was delicious. You quickly gulped down the dish within seconds.

"Its so good, miss! You should totally start a business." You said as you cleaned your face.

"M- miss? I'm flattered about the business comment but please don't call me miss. My name is Xiangling, and I'm a cook."

"Oh- yeah. My names is Y/N."

Your stomach rumbled. How Damn Embarrassing.

Xiangling chuckled. "Seems like you are still hungry. What do you usually eat, since I assume you are a traveler." She said as she put seconds in the bowl.

"Uhh- I eat sunsettia's and apples, and if I'm too desperate I'll go to Wangshu Inn, and eat with a friend there."

"Y-you don't know how to cook?" Xiangling said.

"Nah- I don't" you said scratching your head.

"How are you a traveler then. the art of cooking is the most necessary requirement when travelling." She said, eyes in horror. She gave you the seconds which you gulped down faster.

"I'm just not the best cook- and no one really taught me. I love to try new dishes though." You said.

"I can teach you." Xiangling said.

"Uh- I think you got the wrong idea, Xiangling. I don't stay in a place for too long, except Wangshu inn, which I visit almost every other day. Also, there is no way I would try, I once burned my left arm, trying to make a chicken skewer." You ranted.

You wanted to explore the city around there, and also earn Mora, since you were broke.

"I can travel too and cook for you. Then you wont have to live on fruits and unhealthy food." She offered, her eyes glowing.

"it's fine, Miss. I don't live on fruits and unhealthy food. And I don't need you to tag along, my journeys aren't the easiest." You said.

Xiangling frowned. "I can fight too you know."

"Miss- I think it's better if I kept going on now. I need to get back to Wangshu Inn, then visit a friend at the Winery too." you said, hoping to get out of there as fast.

But your worst mistake was giving her the address and your schedule for the day.

"I'll come with you then Y/N. I wont let you go alone." She said as she grabbed your hand.
