C A Z H V Y R E

I KNEW IT WAS THE WRONG THING TO WISH FOR WHEN I THOUGHT THE PARTY COULDN'T GET ANY WORSE THAN IT WAS. All I can remember about is how loud the music was, how intoxicating but horrible the smell of alcohol was, and how close I came to puking from the blend of ladies' perfume and males' body aroma.

This is an apocalyptic scale.

Let's just say that with so many people in here grinding, laughing, dancing, kissing, and everything else you can see at a crazy party, everyone—and I mean everyone—feels like they're about to pummel each other. I assumed it was just open to Gryffindors and some of Sirius' pals from other houses, or perhaps only those who were on his good side, but I was mistaken.

From the beginning, a nagging siren had been ringing in my thoughts, but I opted to ignore it for the first time and just do the opposite.

It appears that the entire fucking school has just arrived. I can't even find a single one of my friends. Except for the marauders, who were having the time of their lives ensuring Sirius was having a good time on his special day.

James tried to persuade me to join, but I told him I'd be just around the corner—and boy, did I regret turning down his offer. Everyone seemed to be flinging me around as if people had suddenly turned into a swarm.

I'm on the verge of snapping at certain folks who have picked up on my aura and bolted. This is causing me a terrible headache. I'm going to plunge into the Black Lake right now to chill off.

I guess I don't have much of a choice except to escape out of this pit of torment. I attempted to separate the sea-like swell of people, but it was still a challenge.

"Thank the fuck!" I screamed aloud as I finally made it through that dreadful party full of swaying human bodies like there was no tomorrow.

"Should I be concerned?" Someone suddenly said as I noticed someone standing at the dorm's door as if he was waiting for the ideal moment to enter or debating if he should actually enter the hostel full of bloody students.

"What took you so damned long to come?" I ask, then he awkwardly touches his arms before feigning a cough.

He said, "I was doing something crucial."

"Like wrapping your gift for your brother?" I ask, raising an eyebrow at him. This took him off a surprise for a second.

"Why am I going to bother?"

"It's probably because you're simply that way."

We decided to take a break after that conversation by leaning against the wall only a few meters from the Gryffindor dorm's door. We have no idea how long the party will go, but we both know we don't want to be eaten alive inside.

"Are you having some fun?" he inquired as we both savor the quiet yet chilling air. This dress is attempting to make my life really difficult.

"Did you mean, 'Is he having fun?'" I clarified, adjusting to more appropriate attire.

"He's doing well," I responded, "but it would be great if he could see you, even if it's only for a few minutes." I'm quite confident he understood what I was talking about. It's time for him to quit second-guessing himself and just do it. It wouldn't hurt to take a chance. This is also better; at the very least, their relationship will develop.
