Venice. Wow.

That's all I could think as I sailed our boat up to the island.

"We're here," I grinned at Mina, watching her stare in awe at the city.

"It's so pretty!" She squealed, making me laugh.

I helped her off the boat and we took walked through the city to our new flat that we bought on the journey there.

It was quite a big space that we had, two bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen and a huge living room.

"I love it," we both whispered at the same time, causing us to laugh for a while.

"You look so pretty right now, I really want to kiss you," I smiled softly.

"Then why don't you?" She smirked, before I pressed my lips against hers'. I wrapped my arms tightly around her waist and her cane clattered to the floor, before I picked her up and she wrapped her lags around my torso.

I pressed her up against the wall as her tongue entered my mouth, making me moan a little. I could tell she was smiling.

"Tonight," I whispered against her lips.

"OK," she smiled and and I sat her down on the sofa, before getting her cane.

"I think we should go shopping, considering I have literally nothing with me," I suggested.

"Sounds good," Mina agreed, before getting the keys for the flat and leaving with me.

After our shopping trip, I had enough clothes for two months and we had enough food for two weeks.

As night fell over the city, Mina and I sat on our balcony, watching as the world slowly fell asleep.

"It's so gorgeous," I said, looking over the orange and purple ocean.

"Yeah," Mina agreed, but when I look at her, she wasn't even looking. She was staring right at me and smiling softly.

"You're not even looking," I giggled.

"You're so much better," she smirked.

"May I take you to bed?" I whispered, taking her soft hands in mine.

"You may,"

I picked her up gently and carried her inside, laying her down on the bed. I knew something was wrong from the second we got inside. She was completely avoiding eye contact.

"We don't have to do anything, if you don't want to," I said, sitting next to her on the bed. I didn't look at her for a few moments, but then I heard her sniffle, and when I looked, she was crying silently.

"Hey don't cry, please don't cry," I said gently, "did I hurt you?" I frowned. Oh shit, was I not careful enough?!

"No, you didn't do anything. It's me and my problems. It's just, what if when you see it, you leave like everyone else?"

"I think I'm past the point of leaving now, Mina. We've just moved in together, and I don't care what your back looks like, I just don't want you to be rushed into anything and I don't want to hurt you," I whispered, wiping her tears.

"Really?"

"Really," I smiled, "May I look at it?"

She said nothing, just nodded and sat up, before unbuttoning her shirt and sliding it off her shoulders. I looked at it for a minute.

"Does it hurt?" I frowned.

"No," she whispered.

I wrapped my arms around her from behind, and kissed her back slowly, planting small kisses in the ridges of her spine.

"You're still gorgeous," I sighed, pulling her close.

"Really?"

"Really. And I think I just want to hold you tonight,"

"OK,"

And that's exactly what I did. I held her so tight I thought I had killed her at one point, but I needed her to know I would always be there.
