"Ms Venable, your 3 pm interview is here," the receptionist next to me said quietly. It was obvious she was terrified.

"I am fully capable of seeing the woman next to you. Get the fuck out of my office," she purred, making the young girl next to me run out of the office.

She had long, fiery red hair pulled into a tight ponytail and wore all purple attire. Her face was flawless, with piercing deep brown eyes and plump lips, with a pair of gold rimmed glasses that sat perfectly on the bridge of her nose. This woman screamed authority.

She banged her cane on the floor once, and motioned for me to sit down in front of her.

"Good afternoon, Ms Venable," I smiled slightly.

"Yes. What's your name?" she pushed her glasses a litle further up.

"Lana Winters, Miss,"

"Well, Ms Winters, I must warn you thst this job is not for snowflakes, You're not a snowflake are you?"

"No, ma'am," I smirked and I swear she cleanched ehr legs a little.

"You'll refer to me only as Ms Venable. Do you understand?" her voice purred and it was so sexy.

"Yes, Ms Venable,"

"Good, now why should I give you this job?"

"Why shouldn't you?"

"You start tomorrow, 8 am sharp. Don't be late, and I need my coffee,"

"Yes, Ms Vebale," I smiled and left the room without another word.

The second I was out of the building, I pulled out my phone and called the Boss.

"You were meant to kill her, not work for her!" Boss shouted down the phone.

"Is shooting her really a good idea? This woman is head of a powerful organisatioon and I'd like to still be breathing by the end of the week,"

"Well what's your plan then?" I knew I had beat her.

"I have to take her coffee every morning. I think it would be such a shame in my arsenic dropped into her cup, dont you?"

"But you don't have any more,"

"Yes I do, I brought some extra just as an extra precaution for working with someone this dangerous. She'll die within ten secinds, and by that point, I'll be out of her office and in the lift, going back to my car and coming back to base,"

"Ten seconds isn't long enough,"

"I'll send it up with someone else and pretend I have to get something out of my car. Then i can't be linked to it,"

"I hope you know what the hell you're doing,"

"Don't worry, by this time tomorrow, she'll be dead,"

"Update me when you've done it,"

"Yes, ma'am," I smirked, knowing I had won.

"And why are you not working with Ms Mayfair?"

"I don't need her,"

"That's besides the point. she's with you for a reas..."

And then I hung up. She was with me for a reason when my wife died too, but she didn't help.
