"Scott. The baby. She's coming." He nodded and left me standing there in the nursery.
I heard Andrew scream, "The baby is coming!" The front door slammed shut after I heard keys jingling. I stood there, holding my stomach. I gasped at every painful contraction that came. I just hope everything goes well.

I sat in the hospital room waiting for the c-section. The doctors said I had to wait for my contractions to get closer. I just hope that happens soon because this f*cking hurts.
"Mitch, it'll be okay. Take deep breaths honey." Scott kissed my knuckles as I took deep breaths. I just wanted this baby out of me.
"Alright, Mitch. Let's get your daughter out of you." The doctor wheeled me to the delivery room and they stuck an IV in my arm, "This will numb you from your neck down. It'll be okay." The doctor walked in front of me and I couldn't even see him over the divider over my chest.
I saw Scott squeeze my hand and then he looked at me, "They started cutting into you. I can't watch."
"It'd be a good pain Scotty. Our little girl will be here soon."
Scott smiled at me as I heard crying. A tear slid down Scott's cheek as he looked at our daughter, "She's so beautiful Mitch." He looked at me after wiping the tears off my face, "You did great hun." He kissed me and the doctor started to stitch me back up so I could hold Tammy.
