"Do you want to walk around or sit on one of the benches?" I ask, facing Kei.

"Let's walk around once and then sit."

"Sounds good."

It's been about 10 minutes since we started walking around the park and we're halfway around the loop.
For some reason I want to hold Kei's hand, but I don't want to say anything, which is kinda embarrassing on my part, but I just decide to try.

I hook my pinky finger around his and I feel him tense up, so I try pulling away, but before I can he says, "Don't."

I hesitantly nod, but just leave my pinky hooked onto his.

After another minute or so he intertwines his hand with mine completely and I feel my face heat up, but don't comment and just continue walking in comfortable silence.

Another 15 minutes and here we are sitting on one of the benches scattered around the park.
The one we're sitting on in particular is the closest one to the park entrance.

"I'm kind of surprised you can stay quiet for that long without talking once." Kei remarks in a teasing tone.

"Rude." I whine, but smile, nonetheless.

We talked about nothing in particular for a while until he suddenly asks me the thing, I least expected him to.

"Sho, can I kiss you?"

I feel my face become incredibly hot and I know for a fact my face is as red as a tomato.

"Y- Yes.."

Almost immediately after I give my response, I feel warm lips against mine.

I kiss back after a second and our lips move in sync for a couple seconds.
I could tell he had Chapstick on and that made his lips taste like Honey, which I loved.

After pulling away I could see a light rose color dusting over Kei's face. It was actually really cute.

He gives me small smile in which I return.

"I think we should head to the bakery now.." I comment.

"Right, let's go." He responds while holding his hand out for me to take once he stands up from his position on the bench, which I gladly accept.

We walk hand-in-hand along the sidewalk towards the bakery in comfortable silence aside from the honks of cars and other noises in the background.

We have to walk through a neighborhood before getting to another main road where the bakery is.

We get to a street by some houses, and I press the button on the pole.
When the white walk symbol starts flashing from the other side of the road we start walking across with Kei in front and me not far behind him.
Our hands aren't intertwined anymore because our hands started sweating much to our embarrassment.

We were almost on the other side when I notice a car coming towards us -mostly me- at a very high speed.
I try getting out of the way, but the next thing I know I'm lying on the road and feel intense pain all over my body. The pain is mostly in my head and when I feel it and put my hand in front of my eyes, I see a warm, red substance.

'𝘉𝘭𝘰𝘰d..'

"Sho? Sho!"

I feel tears fall down my cheeks and I can see Kei in front of me.

He stands back up and walks somewhere. I hear yelling but can't make out what they're saying.

After a bit I see Kei again and he has a sad smile on his face while tears start forming at the brim of his eyes.

"Kei..?"

"I'm right here Sho.. Don't worry, the ambulance is on the way."

I hum in response and my head starts hurting more and more.
My vision gets blurry, and my eyes feel heavy.

Kei squeezes my hand and yells, "Don't close your eyes!"

"..Sorry..." I mutter softly.

His tears are falling on my face now and I hear sirens in the distance.
Nothing really hurts anymore, but I'm still crying, and my vision is getting blurrier with each passing second.

"Kei..?"

"Yes?"

"I- I love y-you."

"I love you m-more."

I smile at that, and I black out shortly after.
