"Sho.. Shoyo! Dammit! Wake up, please! Please..."

I'm sobbing while hugging him.
He's limp and isn't moving at all. I really don't want to, but I probably should check if he's alive.

I slowly bring my fingers to his neck and try feeling for his pulse, but it isn't there.
I try placing my hand over his heart, but it isn't beating.

The ambulance is finally here, but I don't move away from him and just keep crying.

The EMT tells me to move away from Shoyo and I do with hesitation.

I move to the sidewalk and my knees give out.
I reach for my phone with shaking hands and clumsily call my mom.

"Kei?"

"M-Mom.."

"Hey, what happened?"

"Shoyo got hit by a c- car..."

"Oh god.. Where are you?"

"[...]"

"I'll come and get you, okay?"

"Okay.."

It's barely been 5 minutes since I got to hospital and I'm in the waiting room with my Mom.
I contacted Shoyo's mom while in the car and she's on her way with his sister.

"Are you with Hinata Shoyo?" A doctor asks when he comes in front of me and my mom.

"Yes.. Is he alright?"

The doctor sighs and says in a saddened tone, "I'm very sorry for your loss."
