Sick to Insanity

Finally, You're Awake!

Kai's POV:

I could feel as my eyes were able to move, and as they did I tilted my head to see myself in a room jazzed-up for me. I then looked at Cole who was sitting on some kind of couch reading a cooking book. It wouldn't help him, then I snickered. I then called out his name, a bit weak since my voice wasn't used to talking. "Kai! Hey buddy!" Cole said jumping up. I then smiled and with that he ran out of the room screaming like a child on Christmas.

I saw as the others ran in, and I had sat up at that time. "Kai!!" Nia yelled and almost knocked me back into my state when she lunged at me. She wrapped her arms around me and began sobbing as if I had come back from the dead. I guess I kind of did to them, I knew how long I was out since Lloyd would sometimes sneak in to talk to me about what was going on. Nobody knew exept me though, heck, I wasn't even sure if Lloyd knows I heard him. I then was with my family again, but I knew it wouldn't be a smooth ride.

Zane wouldn't let me get up or walk around, even with his supervision. Zane became like a mom telling me what and what not to do. I felt as if my life was crashing down, I couldn't even use my fire without it getting out of control. I didn't know why it was on the fritz, I didn't remember much in general when I wasn't in the right mind-set. I then started trying to recover with Lloyd's help. Lloyd was somewhat my height so it helped holding onto his shoulders trying to walk a few weeks later.

A few weeks went by, and I could now somewhat walk by myself. I also could control my flames a bit more, I also could talk like I used too. I couldn't do spinjitsu or airjitsu again yet, but I did start training with my brothers again. I then knew that I might not be able to fight like my brothers. I mean, I was somewhat up there with Lloyd in combat, but even with higher uncontrolled powers, I was the weakest. Even weaker than Nia, and she's new to all this Ninja stuff! I mean she was Samurai X, so I can't really be saying that.

I felt weak at times though, my head dizzy in the early morning. I kept it to myself, I didn't want to worry the others anymore.

We had landed for the holidays near Jay's parent's dump-yard, and then we had all planned to stay there for a while. I stayed in my room mostly, Cole had too much fun embarassing Jay with stories his parents told, and Nia and Zane had some fun building stuff with scraps left around. Lloyd however, did training and scouted the area. I wasn't sure why, maybe since this is the first time we've ever really relaxed like this.

It was the second day there, and my head was pounding. I saw Lloyd outside my window trying to scare a bird away with a stick. The bird didn't move, and attacked Lloyd. I laughed at them while watching from the window. I then went outside and swatted away the bird properly.

"Bird got your hair?" I said trying not to laugh at the messy haired blonde boy infront of me.

"Yea, Yea, laugh all you want" Lloyd said rolling his eyes at me.

I started to laugh, then I felt something hit my neck. "..Kai..?" Lloyd said a bit slowly.. then I pulled out what looked to be a dart from my neck.

I felt like my mind was going to explode, why again. Why, why, why? Then I realized something I didn't tell Zane, I didn't tell him what they did in that cell. I had completely forgotten about it. The air in there was cold, but had some kind of, well something, in it that made me stay awake. I knew that feeling of insanity, and now it was all hitting me at once again.

I felt my knees buckle, and my body being suddently hit with a bomb.

There was ringing, as I saw a blurry green figure lying next to me......

.........
........
I heard screaming.....
........
...
..
.
Then it all went away...
