It's Okay, I'm Here...

Nobody's POV:

When Pixal was finished with Kai, Cole walked in as Pixal walked out to head to the control room. As he did, he saw the bed-ridden Kai looking at the ceiling.

"Hey Kai, you okay...?" Cole asked a bit nervously.

"Y-yea...hey...Cole...?" Kai asked.

"Yea?" Cole asked with a hesitant tone.

"I remember some parts of what happened...did I really eat people...did I actually k..kill them?" Kai said as he shook and started crying.

Cole walked towards the now crying boy, embracing him in a hug.

"It wasn't your fault, you might get sick a bit though. I won't tell the others, all I will say is that you caught a cold from accidentally not watching the weather while you were gone." Cole said re-assuring Kai that he would be okay.

"What if they found out...would I still even be able to be a ninja..." Kai said as he started to cry even more.

Cole once again re-assured the boy, while doing so he embraced him into a hug. Kai was shocked, a bit flustured, embarassed. Kai took the chance and hugged him back, crying onto his shoulder.

Cole's POV:

Kai started to cry onto my shoulder as I was hugging him. I didn't want to tell him about what he said to me, I couldn't right now. I'm not even sure if he meant it!

"Hey Cole...?"

I heard Kai speak out to me, "What is it?" I asked.

"I know what happened..."

"W-What!" I said shocked and beginning to blush.

Kai looked down at his legs; "Yea, how I can't walk for a bit with all my injuries."

Oh come on! Get it together Cole, he was talking about walking. Walking!

"Cole? You there?"

Kai was looking at me with his eyes, which were they're normal color.

"Yea I'm here. Also don't worry, I'll help you with walking. For now just stay in bed." Pixal then walked in after Cole was done speaking.

"Affirmative, you should be bed-ridden for around a month. By then you should start to be able to walk, with assistance of some sort of course." Pixal said as she carried in a tray of food and medicines.

I looked at her, then saw Kai looked a bit awkward. We were sitting by eachother at that point, so I got up so he could lean upwards against the beds headboard to eat.

Nobody's POV:

Kai ate the food Pixal brought, as Cole sat in on the couch in a room right infront of Kai's door. The others were still out, they had just finished finding the leading person and finished them off for good.

Kai had been eating slowly, he picked at the food at first then began taking small bites as he felt weak from medications Pixal had given him.

"I can't believe a stupid fever got me into such a mess..." Kai said after finishing a bite of food. Kai's memory was also comming back, but only some. Most of it he wouldn't remember.

Cole sat on the couch, lost in his thoughts.

Cole's POV:

Stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid, more like idiot: Cole thought while sitting on the couch. He probably won't remember, would he? It doesn't matter, they wouldn't understand. Jay would just say that Kai was seeing someone else like his parents since he was so out-of-it.

I took a deep sigh under my breath before my phone started to ring. I picked it up after seeing it was Lloyd.

"Hello?"

"Hey Cole! We just finished up, it will take us a while to get back though. This guy was quite a while away, and Jay wants to stop by his parent's home for a day or two since it's along the way. Telling them about how him and Nya are engaged and all."

"Okay, that shouldn't be a problem. Pixal is watching over Kai now. He should be walking in a few weeks I think, I hope sooner though. I... nevermind. Well glad you guys finished up!"

"Yea...Well I'm going to let you go, have to get a move on if we want to get to a stopping point for tonight."

"Haha, yea. It's only an hour till 10:00pm, you guys should hurry and find a place to rest."

"Haha, your right. Well bye Cole!"

"Bye."

When I finished the call, Pixal had walked out of Kai's room. She had collected his tray, which still had a little less than half the food left on it.

"He should be good, say goodnight and head to bed, Tomorrow I'll need help." Pixal said.

I nodded and walked over to Kai's room.
