When He Cries

Eren:

- He cries a lot in secret, he honestly just can't get the image of his mom's death out of his head so he does cry quite a lot but he never really wants to inconvenience anyone.

- He keeps it together until he's alone but the moment he is he just breaks down, it's really hard for him to pull himself together and act like everything is fine in front of you and his family but that's what he tries to do.

- It was really hard today though, her last moments just replaying in his mind over and over again and nothing was distracting him enough to the point where he would stop thinking about it.

- It was just you and him hanging out in your room when he suddenly crouched down and curled into a ball desperately trying to hide his face but you could tell immediately what was happening when you saw his shoulders trembling.

- He wasn't okay, he was stressed, his mom died in front of him, he was now a Titan shifter, he was now one of the only hopes humanity has of ever getting some kind of freedom and he was cracking under the pressure a little bit.

- Everything was just too much and he couldn't take it anymore which is why he just suddenly broke down and started sobbing because he couldn't hold it in long enough to get away from you.

- He didn't really want to look up at you and see what kind of expression you had but he was fully expecting you to be gone at that point because he didn't know how you were going to react to him crying.

- He certainly wasn't expecting to feel your arms wrap around him though in a very tight embrace as you calmly ask him to let it out and you also ask if he would like to talk about it as well.

- You didn't know what was going through his head, you know he's been through a lot the past few months so you were trying to gauge how you wanted to handle this situation because you didn't know how he would react.

- You know that some people don't want to talk about their trauma or what they're thinking and you know that other people don't really want to cry in front of people in general and it looked like he was a mix of both.

- You're sure he was at least a little bit embarrassed and he was which is why you carefully approached him and hugged him in a way that he didn't have to look at you if he didn't want to.

- He could just continue crying without having to worry about your eyes staring down at him because you weren't, you weren't staring at him because you knew it would make him uncomfortable, and you decided to stare at a wall instead.

- He's so thankful for you because you always seem to know exactly how to handle him and his emotions, especially because he knows he can be hot-headed, then he can randomly be cold and distant, but you never take it to heart.

- You always know that there's something going on with him and of course, he would be having a hard time with everything going on so you don't hold it against him if he does snap at you or if he does start crying.

- Hell the way you see it he should be allowed to cry as much as he wants he's earned it considering the things he's already done and been put through for humanity's sake so yeah you'll definitely sit there on the floor with him in your arms for as long as he needs you to.
