Chapter 23

Hope does not mean focusing on all the positive aspects of life and ignoring the negative ones. Hope is actually the belief that beyond all darkness, suffering, and failure lies a beautiful light that awaits us and that makes our journey worth it.

After Tae's firm decision about Gulf, all went on their ways for different works to be completed. Tae's Dad went to his home with Max to bring clothes and other necessities for Tae, he shall be needing as now he will be staying back with Gulf. Tul went to hand over Gulf's absence leave and also bring Tha home before He would make more chaos. Tae and Dr.Alex now had to plan out whole treatment for Gulf.

It was almost a week after the incident. Gulf was still the same. But now he would let Alex and Tae be near him. He would even let Tae feed him, clean him etc...Day time wouldn't be problematic. Real trouble would be at night. Gulf was having no Sleep at all. It's already been a week since he was on sedative. Every night whenever he would try to sleep, nightmares would haunt him to death. He would sweat profusely, whimper in pain, and breathe heavily. It was easy to guess that he wanted to scream his lungs out but was not ready to open his mouth. He would sob, cry, bang his hands on bed but not a single voice could be heard. The moment he thought his mouth would open he would hold his face on the pillow and cover it. So no voice could be out.

It was really heartbreaking for Tae to watch this scene. He would rush to the Gulf and take him in his arms and console Him.

Ask him,"Please Cub Just Speak, Don't torture yourself like this. Please please Cub. Listen to Me for once. Please..."

On hearing Tae, Gulf would cover his mouth on Tae's Shoulder but still won't Speak. After hour of calming down Gulf would doze off but only for 2 hours again it would be the same. Whole night would be this way. By Morning With no other option Gulf was given sedative. Even though it had mild dosage which made Gulf sleep at least for 4-5 hours it still worried Alex as After All it's Sedative we are talking about.

Dr.Alex,"Tae we need to make Gulf talk. This is not helping. At Least he needs to communicate. We can't keep him on sleeping pills. Even if it's for sobbing he needs to voice out. The way he covers his face is not good."

Tae,"I have no idea how to do it. Every night it's like more torture for him then what had happened."

Both were having their coffee break while discussing this. It has been routine for both now. At 12 Tae would be awake with Gulf, Then at 2am Alex would take Tae's place when Gulf would sleep that time even Tae would have his Short Nap. Then again at 4 am Gulf would be awake with Tae beside him consoling Him. By 6 They would give him Sedative which would let him sleep till 10. During this time Tae, who had only a few hours of sleep, would take a bath, and his coffee with Alex and others.

Tae's Dad who was listening to their conversation said,"Can we try talk writing?"

Alex,"Talk writing???

Dad,"Well you see When Tae was toddler he wasn't speaking till age of 2. First we thought it to be normal but then by mid of his 2nd year he still hadn't uttered even Mom. So we took him to Specialist and there they said that he can speak but somehow his brain is not allowing it. Hence they started therapy. Starting he was made to write on paper and then eventually he started speaking. We can also make Gulf write down and then slowly try to make him Speak.

Tae,"We can try this out, what say"

Alex,"Let me Think of how we would do it. By the way, I need to check a few patients. I'll be going. I'll meet you in an hour.

Tae and his Dad went to Gulf's room. It was almost Time for Him to wake up.

Dad,"Tae, you need to look after yourself too. Atleast get shaved and have a proper shower. Before Gulf wakes up go and I'll watch over him."
