I was busy with my readings and doing my plate on one of the major subjects na kanina ko pa iniignore, kasi madali lang naman. I ignored the vibrations from my phone since I wanted to focus on my schoolwork.
When I finished that plate, I went to turn off the video. That professor wants proof that we are the ones who made those plates. Edit the video to under 3 minutes, then put it on a USB, and it is ready to be passed.
I was taking a break from academics when Evie called, "Hazel, why won't you see the messages on our group chat with the boss? He's been looking for you, for Pete's sake," she said, loudly as fuck.
Good, get to work. To help at least lessen the harm this woman would be inflicting on my ear if she kept shouting like that, I switched the call to the phone speaker.
"Busy with schoolwork," I said shortly, yet still able to hear my irritation.
"Plates?" she asked while I went to get food from the pantry I had here sa study room.
"Yes. Shouldn't bother, so I didn't check my phone; I'll check now," I answered and instantly grabbed my phone.
I checked the messages from the group chat and saw the very details that made me more irritated. People don't have humanity, are they? Even a fully grown man.
"I'll forward the location. Meet us there. Better hurry," Evie threatened me, and I "mhm" to answer her, then she ended the call.
I arranged my belongings in the study area before going to my walk-in wardrobe to change my clothing. I wore a black bodysuit tucked into black leggings, a half-bun in my hair, and black heeled boots for footwear.
I locked my condo and went to my parked car. I drove away after checking the compartment to see if I had the first aid equipment I always keep in my car for emergencies.
Fucking hell? Traffic, now? It's 9:00 pm. If my friend died, everyone here would owe me. Bakit kasi nandito kayo? Bakit kayo buhay? Tangina naman.
Brielle called me many times, but this was the only time I could answer her freaking call. She was arguing with Tasha when I answered, and they stopped when I greeted them —full of confusion.
"Shut up, Tasha. Will you?" Elle ordered our friend. "Hi, bebe. We're na sa place. Where are you?" mahinahong saad ni Elle sakit.
"Tanginang 'to, bading ka ba?" pang-aasar ni Tasha kay Elle, and I know Elle roll her eyes and raised her middle finger.
"I'm coming. Be there soon enough," I replied shortly, then Elle ended the call.
I wish the space were larger so I could still assist them. I would go on a killing rampage if I had to watch my friends fighting for their lives or if I couldn't help them due to traffic. I don't care any longer.
Finally, the traffic moved. That traffic is the most annoying traffic I've been through. I'm lucky enough that the place is just a 30-minute drive from where I live. I'm still hearing a lot of banging and crashing inside the warehouse —a sign that they are still there.
I pushed the door as loudly —enough to make a noise to get this shit's attention. I smirked when the assholes started to run toward me. Umiilag-ilag palang ako sa mga binabato nilang suntok at sipa kasi alam kong pagod na 'tong mga 'to at tutumba nalang maya-maya.
"Hi, girlies. What did I miss?" I sarcastically said, and my girls rolled their eyes. "Sungit,"
"Well, well, well. You are finally here, lady," a manly voice said out of nowhere. I know this voice —the obsessed asshole. This asshole fucking crossed the line now. Elle, Tasha, and Ev looked at where the voice came from. The punches and kicking kept coming from different directions —not just toward me but all four of us.
