A/N - Hi guys so so sorry that I haven't uploaded recently. I have been crazy busy with college and family problems so I've just had no time or energy but here we go!

With no purpose and no direction the two teenagers sped off into the lights ahead, neither of them had any idea where they were going but they didn't care as long as they were together. Rafe was now blaring some obscure rock song on the stereo which Ivy raised an eyebrow at. He seemed to have fully let go by this point, she had seen all of him. The good, the bad and the ugly in a space of just 4 hours.

They had been driving for a good while when Ivy noticed the signs and the lights beginning to look oddly familiar. They were heading for the mainland. Ivy sat up straighter, her shirt now creased from her slouched position and a million thoughts racing through her mind, what if they saw some of her friends from home? Most spent their summers in different European cities or their family estate in Martha's Vineyard so she was sure she wouldn't bump into them.

It's not that Ivy didn't like her friends back home; they had never done anything bad to her. She could just see how superficial everything was and when she was around them she turned into a carbon copy, pulling faces when people turned away or mocking outfit choices and the way someone decided to wear their hair. The one person that Ivy always had time for was her friend Scarlett. Scarlett Huntington was the daughter of a powerhouse realtor and a cutthroat property developer; her parents were in business together and seemed to be as in love as the first time they had ever met. Scarlett had two younger sisters which therefore made her very maternal instinctively, she didn't party as much or gossip and spent most of her time helping out at local charities. Although she was never one to look down on anyone, Ivy knew that if she introduced Rafe to her friend, a motherly instinct would kick in and she would disapprove, especially after all the stories Ivy had told over the years. Her other 'friends', however, would probably try to sleep with him as soon as her back was turned.

In a blur, the next sign passed stating that they were just a few more miles from the mainland and just a few more miles from Ivy's home. They had been driving for hours and it was now nearing 2 am. The bright lights of the city would be dying down soon as clubs and bars closed for the night. Different colours zoomed by as Rafe eyed up the neon lights of clubs, he pulled up to a space outside a club where groups of people congregated outside, smoking cigarettes, and drunkenly fumbling around on their phones trying to book an Uber. Ivy sat upright from her slouched position and looked onto the street, she knew this club. She had frequented it many times with her friends.

"What are you doing Rafe come on, it's late we should head back if we want to get home before morning. My mom has been calling me nonstop" Ivy begged

Rafe smirked "You gotta liven up Ivy. One drink then we go"

"Go where? I don't think it's a good idea to drive drunk" she mumbled

"You said your place is around here right?" he asked

"Yeah, it's like a 10-minute drive from here" she shrugged

Rafe grinned "Okay, so we stay there tonight. Your parents won't know, and you know security codes right?"

Ivy sighed knowing where this was going "Yes but – "

"No buts. Out the car, one drink then we're back to your place"

"Rafe my parents will kill me if they find out"

"Then you better make this a memorable last night" he grinned, hopping out of the car

When Ivy finally emerged from the passenger side the car was locked, and they walked up to a very scary looking bouncer who did not seem too pleased to have Rafe trying to enter the club way past the last entry until he clocked eyes with Ivy whom he knew well.
