-A month and a half after the events of the previous chapter-

UA is hosting their entrance exams today.

The news of UA hosting them was made public around a month ago, and I obviously applied to take the exams.

I already knew that the written exams wouldn't be a problem for me at all. As I mentioned a while back, thanks to having the planet itself talk to me 24/7, I learnt things at a much faster pace than those around me. Schoolwork wasn't a problem even before that happening, so when it did, it basically became nothing more than a waste of time, being turned from learning about something to writing down what I already knew.

Don't get it twisted. I'm not some kind of hyper genius, and I don't know everything. Far from it.

To put it into better words, I guess I could say that, despite being 15, I have around as much knowledge about specific subjects such as Biology, English, History, Social Science and some other subjects as someone who has studied in those specified subjects for at least 3 or 4 years. Well, for the English part, it's more accurate to say that I'm fluent in it, you don't really "study" English. You just learn to understand it.

Actually, when it comes to Biology, that's the one I know the most about. I would say I have the same amount of knowledge about it as someone who's studied it for around 12 years.

Now, that all sounds huge, but keep in mind that there are people who: A, have been studying in these subjects for pretty much their entire life, and know far more than me, for now at least, and B, who have Quirks that alter their intelligence in certain ways, such as faster learning and other applications of Quirks that have a direct effect on intelligence. My knowledge isn't too impressive when compared to both of those.

Also, I'm not as good at Math as I am with the other subjects. I'm good, good enough to have easily passed Math class in school with little struggle, but nowhere near as good when compared to my other subjects.

That's not really because of anything irregular as much as it is to do with my large disinterest in it. Math bores me quicker than anything else in the world can do. The only reason I even still did it was because I was absolutely required to. If I wasn't required to, I would have burnt every math assignment I ever got with glee.

So yeah, written exam won't be so much as an implication of a problem. So, that just leaves the practical exam. It doesn't take a smart person to know that the practical will involve combat of some kind.

So, I trained extremely hard. Harder than I have at any time in my life previously. I upped my exercises, I upped my combat practice, I upped my Quirk training and I made several new moves and techniques that I could use with my Quirk.

One of the things I taught myself to do was to basically ski across the ground in whatever direction I faced.

The way I achieve this is I make the ground below me carry me forward at super quick speeds, while also having a small bit of earth wrap over the top of my feet and lock together like seatbelts in order to "lock" me onto the moving ground. Through this combination, I essentially just make myself ski across the ground easily.

I could use this move to easily travel around at a fast pace.

Another move that I taught myself was basic shape manipulation of any earth/metal related thing nearby under my control. For example, I could get a large rock, and I could "chip" at it to shape it like a crude weapon. The weapon type that I aimed to shape a lot of the time was that of blunt weaponry. Hammers, maces, war hammers, stuff like that.

I had debated for a while on what weapon types I would want to use. People often argue that if you wanted to kill someone, you should use sharp weapons, and if you wanted to keep someone alive, you use blunt weapons. However, many people tend to not think on how deadly even a half serious strike from a blunt weapon to the head would be.
