Gabby Umbridge and Hogwarts

06 - friends?

kirsten grabs dyshan's arm as she starts walking away.
'w-wait!' gabby says which makes dyshan turn around to look at her. 'i'll come with you guys!'

Gabby walks with Kirsten and Dyshan in almost complete silence. As they arrive at the quidditch field they see that Angela and Draco are already there.

Angela turns around to see Kirsten and waves at her.
'Hey!' Kirsten yells as she lets go of dyshans hand running towards Angela.
Gabby sees her and Angela whispering something in each others ears.

'hey,' Dyshan starts while grabbing Gabby's hand. 'I know they might not be especially nice or open to becoming friends with you at first but i promise they're really nice when you get to know them.'

Gabby sits down next to Dyshan.
'i have never seen this quidditch field before, it's so big!' Gabby says and Angela chuckles. 'what are you guys even planning to do here?'
'yeah what we're we planning to do here?' Kirsten asks.
'we were just going to talk about stuff, weren't we?' Draco asks.
'we were, but now that Gabby is here we can do something more fun.' Angela says standing up.
'like what?' Gabby says standing up too.
'fly our broomsticks.'
'f-fly?' Gabby asks. 'b-but we haven't had flying class yet. it could be dangerous o-or we could get in trouble i-if someone finds out.'
'so?' Kirsten asks. 'if you don't want to just leave, it's not gonna be fun if you keep acting like this anyway.'

'i-i-i just don't want to get in trouble.' Gabby says.
'just leave.' Draco says.
'w-what?' Gabby stutters almost crying.
'are you actually gonna cry?' Angela says trying not to laugh.
'n-n-no.' Gabby sighs. 'i- i think i'm just g-going to leave.' she runs away.

on her way to the hufflepuff common room she sees Harry Potter with that red haired boy and a girl she hasn't seen before. she keeps running until she bumps into Pansy.
'Hey why are you- are you crying?' Pansy asks worried.
'n-no. it's okay.' Gabby wipes her tears. 'do you know who that ginger boy next to Harry Potter is?'
'who? Ron?' Pansy points at Ron.
'and the girl?' Gabby asks.
'that's Hermione Granger.' Pansy starts whispering 'she's a mudblood you know.'

as Gabby walks into her dorm she sees that she's alone. it's about 2 more hours until dinner.
'i'll have some time then.' Gabby says as she grabs a book from her suitcase. 'a brand new diary.'

meanwhile in the library

Kirsten and Angela sit in the library together.
'that was fun, right?' Angela asks.
'flying was fun, after Gabby left.' Kirsten answers.
Angela smiles. 'we should try to be nicer to her.'
'What?' Kirsten asks confused. 'are you feeling okay?'

'yes, we should be nice.' Angela says.
'take it back.' Kirsten says seriously.
'did you forget our plan?'
'our plan? i can't remember.' Kirsten says.
'our first night at hogwarts we talked about it. we were going to make her believe we were friends to get her to do stuff for us, we can leave her sad and alone after.' Angela answers.
'oh yeah.' Kirsten says.

meanwhile in the hufflepuff dormitories

Gabby writes in her diary about all the stuff that's bothering her, about her plan to date Draco and just about hogwarts. Gabby wrote about how much she liked Draco until someone walked through the door. Gabby immediately closed her diary and put it under her pillow.
'Susan! you could've knocked!' Gabby yells annoyed.
'we're you writing in a diary?' Susan exclaimed trying not to laugh.
'it's not funny.' Gabby said. 'and don't tell anyone about it!'

'i won't-'
'and don't read it, don't even touch it!' Gabby said agitated.
'i'm sorry Gabby, i didn't know it was so important to you.' Susan said worried. 'just calm down okay?'
'don't tell me to calm down!' Gabby yelled before going to the common room.

at dinner

as Gabby walks to the great hall for dinner she sees Draco talking to Hannah. why would he be talking to Hannah and not to her? Gabby starts walking towards them but Draco notices and walks away.

'what was he talking to you about?' Gabby asks Hannah who starts walking to the great hall.
'he just asked for my transfiguration homework.' Hannah said softly.
'you guys don't even have transfiguration together.' Gabby notices.
'I'm sorry, i lied.' Hannah says.

'what did he say then?' Gabby asks.
'well, i'm not supposed to tell you but-'
'oh my! does he like me?' Gabby asks excited.
'n-' Gabby cut Hannah off.
'did he ask you for advice to ask me out?'
'he didn-' Hannah tries to speak.
'i knew he liked me! we are meant to be together.' Gabby says.
'stop interrupting me!' Hannah says annoyed. 'he said that you were gossiping about me and Susan today at the quidditch field.'

Hannah walked away from Gabby to go sit with Susan and her other friends.

At dinner Gabby ate in silence just looking at the slytherin table and seeing her friends have so much fun together without her made her appetite go away. she sighed.

When Gabby was walking to the hufflepuff common room she felt a hand on her shoulder.
'hey' Angela said. 'you seemed pretty sad at dinner earlier.'
'i don't want to talk about it.' Gabby said.
'why not?' Angela asked.

'Hannah told me that Draco told her that i was gossiping about her and Susan at the quidditch field, but i never did. why would Draco say that?' Gabby asked.
'he didn't.' Angela said. 'he was just asking something about potions class.'

'i knew it! draco would never make up a lie like that about me.' Gabby says relieved.
'exactly. he is your friend, friends wouldn't do something like that. you should confront Hannah for telling you such a lie, that's not okay.'
'the hufflepuffs think ill never be good enough for them. i'd much rather be a slytherin. so i can hang out with you guys.' Gabby says. 'i'll go confront Hannah, thanks so much Angela!'
