Gabby Umbridge and Hogwarts

05 - first classes

Gabby wakes up and looks at the clock. its 8 AM. breakfast starts at 9 so she better get ready now. she wants to look pretty so Draco will notice her, she brushes her hair, brushes her teeth and puts on her hufflepuff robe. 'i wish i was a slytherin.' she sighed.

Gabby was dormed with Hannah Abbott and Susan Bones, two nice girls. Gabby would rather hang out with Kirsten, Dyshan and Angela though, they're cool plus they could help her get closer to draco.

Gabby packs her bag, her wand, her books, parchment and a quill. she walks to her common room and she sees that it's already 8:45. when she is in the common room she sees older students, fifth or fourth years she thinks. she goes on her way to the great hall because she usually has trouble with finding everything.

Gabby walks and walks and got lost until she sees she somehow got to the slytherin common room and she sees 3 familiar faces.
'GUYS!' she yells to them. Angela looks at her weirdly and whispers something to Kirsten, Kirsten laughs. Gabby walks up to them.
'guys!' she cheers.
'why are you here? you're not even a slytherin.' Angela asks.
'oh.. um i was looking for you guys!' Gabby says a little less excited.
'why, we didn't want you to.' Kirsten answers back. Draco laughs at her response. Gabby looks at him, wow.

'why are you looking at me?' Draco asks annoyed. Angela laughs.
'oh um..' Gabby couldn't give an answer.
'well WE are going to eat breakfast.' Angela says and grabs draco and kirsten. Gabby looks at them walking away.

'hey are you okay?' she hears a girls voice and someone touching her shoulder.
'what? yes. who are you?' Gabby asks.
'i'm Pansy, Pansy Parkinson.' the girl answers.
'oh hi i'm Gabby Umbridge.' Gabby replies.
'those girls really are mean, aren't they?' Pansy says.
'well, no they are my friends.' Gabby pointed out.
'they don't look like very good friends.' Gabby doesn't have an answer to that. 'we can be friends, i promise i will actually treat you like a friend.' Pansy suggests.

'ok, but they're still my friends too.' Gabby protested.
'sure, but i think they might not think that about you as from what i heard last night with Draco.'
'what do you know about draco? did they say anything about me to him? does he like me?' Gabby asks.
'calm down. he isn't that special.' Pansy interrupted.
'let's just head to breakfast.' Gabby sighs.

as Gabby sits at the hufflepuff table she gets cut off from her new friend who sits at the slytherin table. she sighs and eats her cornflakes.

its time for her first class, transfiguration. she walks there with Pansy. and sits down. she sees her friends sitting all together again at the other side of the classroom. Professor McGonagall explains things about this school year and then we get to work. suddenly the door swings open. its Harry Potter with a boy with red hair, they are late. they start talking about how they're lucky that McGonagall is late to class. Then they see that the cat in front of the class is mcgonagall. mcgonagall tells them to go to there places and they sit down.

Gabby tries to focus on her work but she can't help but listen to her friends' conversation.
'you're doing it wrong.' Draco says.
'what am i doing wrong? i don't understand.' Kirsten says back.
'It's really not that complicated.' Angela replies and laughs but her smile fades when she sees Gabby looking at them. She elbows Kirsten and they go back to work quietly.

During lunch Gabby walks to the hufflepuff table and sits next to Hannah.
'Hi, your name is Gabby, right?' she asks.
'yeah.' Gabby answers shortly. Gabby glares at the slytherin table where she sees her friends laughing. she sighs.
'so, what class do you have after lunch?' Hannah asks trying to make conversation.
'umm.. potions i think.' Gabby says looking at the ravenclaw table looking for Dyshan.
'oh we have potions together!' Hannah says excited.
Gabby doesn't answer as she looks at Dyshan talking to another ravenclaw girl. All of her friends have friends in their own houses, except her.
Hannah sighs realizing Gabby is not interested in a friendship with her.

Gabby sees Angela, Kirsten, Draco and some other people who are probably their friends leave for potions class.
'we have this class together.' Gabby whispers to herself. 'maybe i can sit next to Draco.' Gabby stands up walking towards the friends.

'Gabby!' Pansy stops her. 'we have potions together!'
'yeah. let's go.' Gabby flashes her a quick smile trying to keep up with her friends.
'Gabby! wait for me!' Hannah says grabbing Gabby's shoulder.
'oh hi hannah.' Pansy says as they walk to potions class.

when Pansy, Gabby and Hannah finally walk into potions class Gabby sees Draco, Angela, Kirsten and Dyshan sitting together already. she sighs.
'i guess i'll sit with you guys.' Gabby says to Hannah and Pansy as she sits down a row behind Draco.

Kirsten looks behind her and sees Gabby and whispers something into Angela's ear. Angela looks behind her. 'Oh hi Gabby.' Angela says as Draco turns around to see who she's talking to.
'hi Draco!' Gabby says earning a disgusted look from Draco as he turns back around.
'ok.. well, who are your new friends?' Angela says eyeing Pansy and Hannah. 'are you befriending another slytherin to replace us?' Kirsten laughs.
'n-no.. i just-.' Gabby stutters.
'I asked her to be my friend because you guys don't treat her right.' Pansy says.
'really?' Angela asks. 'is this true Gabby?'
'no! of course not! i love being friends with you guys.' Gabby says pinching Pansy's hand making her shut up.
'good.' Angela says turning back around.

during potions Gabby was looking at Harry Potter, she wanted to get to know him.
'i'll talk to him after class.' she thinks to herself.

after class Gabby sees Harry talking to Kirsten. she remembers Kirsten telling her they're siblings. after Harry leaves Gabby walks up to Kirsten.

'h-hi.' Gabby says.
'hi.. what is it?' Kirsten says confused.
'we should hang out sometime.. you know? me, you, draco and the rest.'
'umm, yeah.' Kirsten says.
'what are you guys talking about?' Dyshan says walking up to them.
'Gabby just wants to hang out with us.'
'well we can do that.' Dyshan smiles at Gabby. 'she can come with us to the quidditch field, right?'
'but we haven't had flying lessons yet.' Gabby questions.
'we know.' Kirsten says tugging on Dyshans sleeve. 'come, or don't. we're leaving.'
