I don't see mom or Carter when I leave for school so I have to ride the bus again. It's still just as horrible as the first time.

The morning has been moving rather slowly. We're in science and Mr Williams is saying something about our homework we for the weekend.  "Homework will need to be turned in Monday morning, with that, I hope you enjoy your weekend

My first weekend in Ridgeville, I'll probably spend it listening to my parents argue. Great.

After 2nd period we have break. Makayla and I get snacks and meet outside.

"Do you want to meet after school to start working on our homework for the weekend?" Makayla asks as we're sitting on the football bleachers. "I think it will be more fun if we do it together."

"Yeah that would be great."

"My house or yours?" She asks.

"Your house." I answer way to quickly. "My house is still full of boxes from moving." I backtrack, not wanting to tell her the real reason- my parents evening fights.

"Okay great you can just ride home with me after- if that's ok with your parents." she says.

I shrug, "Oh, they won't care."

She looks at me for a moment before shaking her head "It's so cool that your parents just let you do anything, mine would give me a whole interrogation." she says in awe. "Where are you going? What time will you be home? Do we know them?" She says in a mocking tone and we both laugh.

I walk into study hall and the first person I see is- the one and only- Ty. Hopefully he was just in a bad mood the other day and isn't actually a bad person.

I sit across from him and start taking my things out of my book bag. I feel him staring at me so I look up and give him a smile. Maybe that'll cheer him up- but he just rolls his eyes and looks back down at his phone.

"Whatever" I mumble under my

Girls they wanna have fun
oh girls just wanna have fun-

- Is playing through my headphones as  I do my AG homework. I feel someone looking at me so I pause my music and look up from my work. Ty is staring daggers at me. I give him a questioning look and he just rolls his eyes.

"Can you not do that." He says unreasonably angry.

"Do what?" I ask, wondering why he was so mad at me.

"Breath so loud!" He shouts like it's the most obvious thing in the world.

"I can't exactly help it!" I shout back a little confused at his sudden outburst.

"Whatever." He huffs as he storms off. I just roll my eyes and get back to my work. Who spit in his cheerios?

We get to Makaylas house and she shows me around.

"This is my room- it's where we'll do our homework!" she tells me excitedly. "If we try to do it in the kitchen my brother, Jonathan, will just bother us the whole time."
