"Ratnavati look, though I had initially agreed to keep that dog at home, I am changing my decision."

"Also I could not say anything in front of Jaiwanta. I thought lets give it a try. However after seeing what the puppy did, I have changed my opinion"

"Please ma let us keep it please, we will train it " Ratnavati was close to tears.

Hansa cut in, "WE?"

"I mean I will take good care of it. I will train it please ma please Tears started to flow down her cheeks, "Jija please tell her something please"

"Ma look at her, see she is crying. Please ma we will keep the.."

"Ajabdeh I had asked you to stay out of this matter, and Ratnavati you better get it that there will be no dog allowed hence forth. If you wish to bring one, then its either you or the dog who is staying at home." Hansa said sternly.

Ratanavati was now completely sobbing when her father entered the house.

"Woof Woof They heard a bark.

Ratanavati jumped in excitement.

"Goluu!!!!" She shrieked in excitement and ran out.

"Golu??" Ajabdeh mumbled amused. Her mother hit her forehead mumbling an 'oh lord' under her breath. The mother and daughter duo walked in the living room and saw Ratnavati holding the puppy and cuddling it. Ajabdeh smiled widely while Hansa was aghast.

Oye kiddo, happy? Ajabdeh asked holding the puppy in her own hands and cuddling it herself.

Yesss, ma can we please keep it? Ratna looked at her mother with puppy eyes.

I have already warn Hansa started.

Ram cut in, Yes of course we will keep it.

Absolutely not! We are not keeping the puppy at home. Your dear princess had brought it home , I couldnt say anything to her in front of Jaiwanta , but this innocent looking beast is a devil, so no pups allowed.

Ma if you can allow Jija to keep her cow then why not a pup? If you go to see a cow needs more maintenance. Ratnavati complained.

Back in Bijolia where the Punwars originally lived, Ajabdeh had a cow. They had big courtyard. They also had some horses for which they had built a stable. The house they lived was practically in a palace handed over to them through generations. They had remodelled it of course and had transformed the palace into a mansion. The Punwars, were the descendants of Rao Ram Rakh Punwar, father to Ajabdeh Punwar, Maharana Prataps first wife. It was also after her that Ajabdeh had been named. They too were royalty in Bijolia.

"Dear daughter, a cow is harmless. It doesn't tear cushions apart like that Golu of yours."Hansa replied.
