chapter nineteen: last final bits
𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟰𝘁𝗵 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟭 - 𝟯:𝟬𝟬𝗽𝗺
𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵𝘀 𝗼𝗹𝗱
The past month has been the most craziest month ever, besides the month Lila was born, for Sydney.
She started moving all her things into the new house last week and slowly unpacking it too while they was there, she waited till everything was in and unpacked to move in
Sydney bent down, relieved as Lila was sleeping in her crib in her new room, and picked up one of her last boxes in the empty room, taking it to the master bedroom.
But just before she could get out of the room, a soft sigh came from the door.
"Syd," Vinnie sighed out and walked over to her, grabbing the box out of her hand before she could object. "You just put Lila to down for a nap, take a rest"
"I cant, I need to get this done before she wakes up. She's only going to nap for an hour"
"5 minutes Syd, take 5 minutes" Vinnie said as he walked out of the door, Sydney following behind him
"Just put that in my room, it needs to go into the closet" Sydney explained
Vinnie nodded as he opened Sydney's bedroom door, setting the box down next to it. It was the final box that had to be unpacked and put away which made Sydney relieved as the house was feeling more like home
She slowly walked into her bedroom, following Vinnie as he set the box down and opened it with a knife
"Where do these go?" Vinnie asked as Sydney sat down on the end of the bed
"Umm they're my leggings so" Sydney sighed "Just put them in the empty drawer"
Vinnie put the clothes away as quickly as possible so he could spend time with Sydney, he could tell she was tired and over all the moving stuff
"Thank god that's done" Sydney huffed as she laid back on the bed, her feet still on the ground "I honestly think this has been the best but hardest month ever, expect the first month with Lila"
"Yeah but you've done amazing Sydney" Vinnie coaxed as he walked over to her "You've done brilliant, you've been moving all your shit as well as being a mom at the same time"
Vinnie smiled before laying down on top of Sydney, putting his head into the crook of her neck and lightly kissing it
"I probably wouldn't have been able to move if it wasn't for you" Sydney smiled as she played with the little strands of hair at the back of Vinnie's hair
"When we got together did you ever imagine this would be our lives in just under like two years?" Vinnie asked before placing another kiss of Sydney's neck
"Definitely not, i knew we'd have kids young that was always in the plan yeah, but not till we was like twenty four and maybe married. I didn't imagine we'd have a kid together while broken up, but it's still our little family and i wouldn't change it for the world" Sydney said as she thought about how much her life had changed, a smile written over her face
"You know i definitely wouldn't mind having another kid, i mean we have the space and money" Vinnie added thinking about how their life changed with Lila and the thought of giving her a sibling with Sydney
"No no no, nope, im good" Sydney replied immediately as he finished speaking "I just gave birth 3 months ago Vin, i'm not getting pregnant again any time soon, plus we aren't even dating, why would we go ahead and try for another kid" Sydney added explaining her reasons
"I guess you have a point" Vinnie responded kinda bummed that she pulled the 'we're not dating' card but he understood
"Would you be my girlfriend Syd? i know it's kinda random, but i feel like we're ready. We've spent loads of time together as well as going on a few dates when we have time" Vinnie asked randomly after they had some silence in the room, his head was lifted up looking at Sydney as she still played with his hair
Vinnie moved, letting Sydney sit up on the end of the bed and taking a seat next to her. To say she was shocked was an understatement, it wasn't something she expected to happen tonight
Vinnie thought he'd done the wrong thing while Sydney sat there happy but just couldn't get her excitement out due to being shocked
"I'm sorry Sydney, that was stupid of me to say. I shouldn't have put you under that pressure unexpectedly" Vinnie apologised
"Yes" Sydney smiled, standing up and standing in front of Vinnie "Yes, i'll be your girlfriend"
A smile grew on Vinnie's face as he heard the answer to the question he'd been wanting to ask for ages. His arm wrapped around her waist as she stood in between his legs.
He lifted up his hand, resting it on her cheek, as he pulled her face down to give her a kiss. They both smiled into the kiss as Sydney's hands attached to Vinnie's hair
"You're mine" Vinnie mumbled as they both pulled away from the kiss "I'm never letting you go again, that's a promise"
"Well i don't think you can get rid of me now" Sydney giggled "We're a little family now"
"We always was" Vinnie chuckled as he pulled Sydney down to sit in his lap
