It was a hot summer afternoon marching band practice had just been let out. My group of friends and I were walking to downtown Newnan to get something to eat. Gray and Tori were at the head of the group talking about some anime that Tori had started to watch and Gray had already seen. Kirstin and I were behind them, both on our phones with Jessie and Eric behind us.
"I'm hungry!" cried Jessie from Eric's shoulders.
"Yes Jessica we know, " Groaned Eric.
"Your always hungry, " I say looking back, walking backwards for a few steps long enough for her to stick her tongue out at me and me to return the gesture. Normally she would talk more but today's practice had been brutal so she was kind of quiet. I notice Eric not paying attention so I start to make popping sounds knowing that that kind of stuff gets on his nerves.
*pop* … *pop*
"Stop it, " he says already annoyed with me.
*pop*
"Damn it Audrey."
*pop*
His eye starts to twitch. Jessie and Kirstin hold back their laughter, both snorting a little.
*pop*
"Don't encourage her!" Eric scolds them.
*pop*
"You know he's going to hit you right?" Tori adds. By now we were almost at the Redneck gourmets. He smacks me upside the head which makes me trip over my own feet and fall on my ass. Jessie completely loses it and gets off Eric only to fall down herself in a fit of laughter.
I start to fake cry. "Tori!! Kirstin!! Big ass jerk hit me and Jessie's laughing at me!!"
Kirstin joins in Jessie's fun as they both try to hug me.
"Grow a pair." Eric hisses at me, walking ahead. I flick him off making a pouty face.
"I tried to tell you!" Tori says finally noticing what happened. Her and Kirstin help me and Jessie up. Jessie goes to catch up with Eric to teach him a lesson for being mean to me. They're at the cross walk when some random guy bumps into Eric saying something to him. He makes a really confused face at the guy as he rushes past them and heads straight for me. He sticks something on my face.
"Hey!!" I yell and peel off whatever it is. It's a sticky note that says,
"None of you are safe, come find me here (address) my friends and I can protect you guys.
P.S. don't let him do that to you.

I look up and the mystery man is gone.
