I woke in a dark room. It literally looked like I'd been sucked into a black and white movie. The only colour was the orange glow from some candles. My head was pounding and I still couldn't move. So I looked around the monotone room until my eyes fell on a silvery figure sitting in the corner of the room. I didn't have my glasses so I couldn't quite make out his face but from what I could tell he had to be at least ten feet tall with wild silver Einstein hair, and muscular arms protruding from a ripped-up blue janitors uniform. Okay? He raised his head towards me acknowledgeing that I'm awake, stood and walked towards the bed. He knelt down at the bed side and put a hand on my forhead. When he moved his hand, he smiled down at me.
"Goody! Your awake! Hades will be pleased with Bob! Yes, indeed maybe give Bob time off!" He says pure silver eyes gleaming.
"Where am I?" I croked out.
"Your in the palace of Hades of course! I am Bob. I help Hades. Hades like Bob." Bob answered. My head started to feel better and the feeling was started to come back to my body so I decide to try and sit up. It takes a lot but finally, with some help from Bob, I'm able to. I look around and find my glasses on the night table next to me. I put them on so I can finally take a good look at the room I'm in. Like I said everything was monotone coloured but it was absolutely beautiful. Palace was right because this place was breathtaking. My skin was still really pale but now almost transparent. Other than that I looked completely unharmed.
"Bob will go tell Hades your awake. Be right back!" Bob says. I thank him, he gives me a huge smile and then leaves. Now I'm alone. I notice a mirror in the corner of the room. I stand and immediately regret it. The room starts to spin. I start to fall over but someone catches me. The person sits me back down on the bed and faces me. It was a boy that looked to be my age. Dark curly hair framed his face. His skin even paler then mine shockingly. He had deep dark circles under hes sad dark eyes. Without a word he takes my arm, looks it over as if something should be wrong with it. He nods, lets go of my arm and sits down on the bed next to me.
"Thanks... for catching me." He only grunts in response.
"I guess I'm not really up for standing. Um can you tell me what happened to me? Why I'm here?" I say.
"Chiron will explain when you get back to camp." He answers.
"Oh... can you tell me who you are?"
"Nico."
"Uh well hi Nico. I'm Audrey."
"I know who you are."
"Oh." He leans towards me, picks up a piece of one of the blonder parts of my hair. He twists it in his fingers never taking his eyes of me.
"You have pretty hair. Reminds me of someone else's." He says letting go of my hair and walking out of the room without another word.
Well that was creeptastic. I look around the room to see if I'm reallly alone now. There's no one in sight. Alright, what the heck is going on? The last thing I remember is being in the old auto shop with my friends, Octavian and his friends. Then those cyclopes things came in and... Reme... Reme was one of them... My heart sinks down to my stomach and tears start to form in my eyes.
Holy Shit! How could all this be happening?! What was happening was the real question! And why the heck am I here?! Wait, Bob said this was the palace of Hades. That's in the underworld. I'm in the underworld! Oh my gods! Am I dead?! Panic over takes me, now I'm sobbing. Wait, get a hold of yourself Audrey! I cant be dead! Nico wouldn't have been able to touch me if I was. Maybe he was dead too. Okay if I was dead I wouldn't feel any pain. I pinch myself as hard as I can. Sure enough it hurts. Wait that might not be right. Oh my gods!! I could be dead?! If I'm dead then why am I in the palace of Hades and not doing dead people stuff?!
