Chapter 2, Home Sweet Home!
So my mom was helping Crawl & I get into a college here by us. We would transfer our classes to. I was going to miss CA. But we really were needed at home. So home was where we were going to stay!
I still wasn't sure I wanted to be a school teacher as my mom had talked me into doing. I could always change my major. Crawl was now head set on being a farmer. He was going to major in classes in agriculture now.
He was so smart. I knew he could do anything he put his mind to do. We soon would be getting the house ready for Christmas as well as my wedding to Crawl. I could hardly wait to get married.
Dad comes in with Crawl behind him. Mom was on the phone. Zack was at the table playing his Game Boy.
Dad looked a bit upset.

"Becca we need to talk" dad says in a serious tone. I nod as I follow him and Crawl into his den.
"What's going on dad?" I ask.
Crawl takes my hand into his.
"Travis made bail. He's out of jail." Answers Crawl.
My stomach sinks.
"Oh...."
"We can press charges and I'll get a damn good lawyer" offers dad.
"Can I talk to Becca alone a moment ?" wonders Crawl. Dad nods then heads out of there. "What's on your mind?"
