I remember a time
When I was a pearl
A special girl
A treasure
People once loved me
Praised me and adored me
And I knew then only pleasure
Then one day
A diamond came
To take away my light
Now he is the sun that glows
And I now fade into the shadows
Like the darkness of a Winter's night
For what is the moon compared to the sun?
Why have number two when you can trade them for one?
Why wear a pearl when a diamond is near?
You do not, you forget them, and they disappear

Pieces of a Fractured Soul
PoetryMany of these are poems I wrote a long time ago, but I may occasionally add new ones on occasion. Still, I am curious to hear what people think of the ramblings of my teenage self.
