I heard noise in my room. I froze and slowly started inching my hand to my gun under the pillow. I grabbed and sat up, pointing the gun at who I now realize was Calum. He put his hands up playfully and I lowered the gun embarrassed.
“Sorry, I’m not used to people.” I mumbled, shyly getting up and walking over to my mirror. I flipped my head upside down and grabbed my hair, flipping it back up. I pulled it into a ponytail and I cracked my neck.
“C’mon Loki.” I called as I walked out of the room with Calum and the dog following behind me like lost puppies. I went out to see the other boys sitting at the breakfast bar and I smiled, greeting them.
“Hungry?” I asked and they all nodded. I laughed walking over to the fridge and grabbing some eggs and bacon. I turned on the stove top and set the pan down. I turned around and grabbed Loki’s food bowl, pouring some dog food in and sitting it back down. I leaned against the counter, wiping my face because I was so tired.
“How do you get food that is actually safe to eat?” Ashton asked me and I rolled my eyes.
“I go into the safe city once in a while and go grocery shopping.” I answered, turning back around and placing some bacon onto the pan. I went to my radio and opened my cabinet with all of my CD’s in it.
“Is Blink okay?” I asked and they all nodded. I placed the CD into the player and hit play. It was their Greatest Hits CD with all of the best songs. Josie came on first and ‘Josie’ came on first. I sang lightly as I finished cooking the bacon and put it on a plate. I placed the plate in front of the boys and then snatched a few pieces, feeding one to Loki and then eating one myself. I cooked the eggs and put them on a separate plate. I gave them paper plates and plastic utensils.
“Eat up.” I said, leaving them to the food and walking out to my sunroom where I kept all my testing stuff. Loki followed me to the door and then stopped right in front of it. He whined and I just bent down and pet him.
“Go hang out with the boys, they love you.” I said, pushing him over to the four gigantic boys. He shyly walked over and Calum handed him a piece of bacon, to which Loki gladly accepted and started to warm up to them. I went over to my lab table and I put on rubber gloves. I picked up my needle which was filled with the infection and went over to the brand new hamster. I lifted him into my hands and put the needle into him, squeezing it until the infection was fully in his blood. I put the little thing back into the cage and locked it.

Injected subject 34 with Immuno Hanladol Infection. So far, he is showing signs of extreme stress, inability to stay till, and the not eating normal food. Effect have taken effect rather quickly.

I finished in my lab notebook, and when I closed it and turned around. I nearly jumped out of my skin. Calum laughed, thinking it was funny. I slapped his arm playfully and he frowned jokingly.
“What are you doing?” He asked as I peeled off my gloves, disposing them into the bin. I sighed and turned on my heel to face him.
“Genetic tab testing and serum testing to see if there is a cure for this fucking virus.” I said, shoving Calum out of the room and then following him as I shut the door. I saw the other boys packing their bags and loading their guns. They all swung them on their backs and smiled at me.
“Thanks for letting us crash here tonight Allison, we will be back sometime soon to visit. It is fun out here and you seem very capable of protecting us if were stupid.” Michael laughed at the last part. I rolled my eyes and laughed.
