I walk into Central perk just before Mon and hear Rach mutter as she walks past me "Only $98.50 to go."
"$98.50 for what?" I question her and I shrug off my jacket and put it on the back of the sofa. "Oh, I'm trying to get enough money to buy my ticket so I can go skiing with my family for Thanksgiving."
"Oh, well. Here, to get you started." I take out my purse and hand her $50. She goes to protest but I push it into her hands. "Twice a month I have a $100 set aside for some kid who helps out. He wasn't able to help out last time so Joey did half the job for me. This is the other half of the payment. It's in my budget so I won't miss it." I tell her with a shrug of my shoulders. She takes it before jumping on the spot and hugging me tightly. "Yay! only $48.50 to go" She says as she skips off to continue working. I shake my head with an amused smile and stay standing as I carefully take my hair out of it braids and let it fall in long waves around my shoulders.
"Hey." I smile at Monica when she walks in and wave in greeting she smiles back before looking over to her brother. "Ross did you know that mom and dad are going to Puerto Rice for Thanksgiving?" Ross scoffs at his sister "No, They're not."
"Yes they are. The Bryman's invited them."
"You're wrong" Mon raises her brow at her brother and crosses her arms "I am not wrong"
"You're wrong" Ross persists and I sit down between Pheebs and Chandler. The bubbly blonde immediately starts playing with my hair while Mon starts looking as if she wanted to hit her brother. "No. I just talked to them."
He looks between us before standing up and throwing his paper down. "I'm calling mom." he practically runs for the phone and I chuckle at his whinny tone.
"Hey, Hey." I ignore the fluttery feeling in my stomach and wave to Joe as he walks in. When I see his face I narrow my eyes slightly in confusion. "Joe, tesoro, cosa c'è sul tuo viso?" (Joe, honey, what's on your face)
"And this from the cry for help department. Are wearing make up?" Chandler say's with his usual humour. "Yes, I am. As of today, I am officially Joey Tribbiani. Actor slash model." He tells us happily before thanking Rachel when she sets a coffee down on the table next to him.
"That's so funny, 'cause I was thinking you look more like Joey Tribbiani, man slash woman." I roll my eyes at Chandler and take the paper from his hands before hitting the back of his head. "Stop that. He looks fine. I'm happy for you Joey." I turn to the Italian at the last part and he gives a charming smile before drinking his coffee.
"What were you modelling for?" Pheebs asks and I move back so she could look at Joey properly. "Oh, You know those posters for the city free clinic?"
"Oh, Wow! So you'll be one of those healthy, healthy, healthy guys?" Mon says before Pheebs comments after. "You know, the asthma guy's really cute." I giggle when Mon and Rachel agree with her.
"Do you know which one you'll be?" Chandler asks.
"No, but I hear Lyme disease is open, so.." Joey trails off as he crosses his fingers. "Well, good luck man, I hope you get it." Chandler says and we all give him a strange look. "Chan, sweetie, repeat the last thing Joey said and the last thing you said, in your head." I say in a soft tone as if I was talking to a five year old. He looks into empty air for a moment before looking at me with a small chuckle. "Oops" I ruffle his hair in response and Ross comes back over to us.
"Well, you were right. How can they do this to us? It's Thanksgiving"
"Okay. I tell you what. How about if I cook dinner at my place? I'll make it just like mom's" Mon tries to placate her upset brother as he sits back down in the green armchair looking down.
