It had been a week since I had met the gang and I had gotten along with all of them perfectly fine. Chandler and I bonded over the mutual sarcasm, Monica and I bonded over cooking, Phoebe was just wonderfully weird and Joey and I bonded over food. Ross and I where still trying to find something to actually bond over so at the minute we were more like acquaintances rather then friends.
The gang and I where currently all sat together in Central perk, the coffee shop that we spent an alarming amount of time in, and discussing the importance of kissing.
Monica and chandler where sat on the sofa while Ross sat on the arm of it, Rachel was perched on a stool next to Monica while Phoebe sat in the floor and Joey and I shared the arm chair. I was originally sat on the arm of it but Joe had pulled me down into his arms when he had seen the Goosebumps appearing on my arms. It was warm enough outside that no one had worn any jackets, but I was always cold for some reason.
"What you guys don't understand is for us, kissing is as important as any other part of it." Monica motions to us girls and Joey scoffs loudly "Yeah, right. Your serious?" his tone changes at the end when he sees all of our expressions.
"Oh, yeah."
"Everything you need to know is in that first kiss." Rachel adds on to Phoebe before Monica agrees with them both, as they help prove her earlier statement.
"Absolutely"
"Their right" I confirm when the boys turn to me questioningly. He still looked at me confused so I go on to explain "Okay if your first kiss with a guy feels a little hesitant at first then we can tell that he is just as nervous as we are which means he either really likes us or that he doesn't date often. If the guy gives a gentle peck first but then leans in for a second, stronger kiss then we know that the spark is more passionate. and your either getting a second date or getting into bed with them that night. Also through out a relationship, no matter how short, sweet little kisses hear and there are reassuring and comforting" Joe makes an 'ah' sound and nods before pulling my closer into his arms. His chin resting on my shoulder.
"Well you see for us kissing is pretty much like an opening act, you know? It's like the stand-up comedian you have to sit through before pink Floyd come out." The girls and I all roll our eyes and Chandler words. Our exasperation only worsening when Ross decides to add to that.
"Yeah, and it's not that we don't like the comedian. It's just...that...that's not why we brought the ticket,"
"You see the problem is though after the concerts over, no matter how great the show was, you girls are always looking for the comedian again. I mean we're in the car, fighting traffic. Basically, just trying to stay awake." I try and kick Chandler in the shin but I was too far away and my foot simply brushes against his leg. I pout slightly in annoyance. When Joey sees this he kicks him for me making Chandler yelp loudly as he rubs his shin. I chuckle and high five Joey while the girls smile.
"Yeah, well, word of advice. Bring back the comedian, Otherwise next time your going to find yourself sitting at home listening to that album alone."
Monica and Rachel high five proudly and Phoebe and I smile at the two. "Are we still talking about sex?" I ruffle Joeys hair while Ross gives him a thumbs up.
I gently push Joeys arms off of me and walk over the the counter, leaving a pouting Italian behind. I walk back over after a few second with a cookie in hand and sit back on his lap. I break the cookie in half and give him the bigger half.
The next day I wake up to find Joey raiding my fridge. "Morning Joe. Pop tarts are in the cupboard." I point to the right one with one had while I fix my robe with the other. "Thanks"
