Mysteriouse (Dave x Reader)

-Another Dave point of view-

Dave sits on a couch that is far too squishy for his comfort, next to John who invited him unwillingly. Dave zones out looking at some odd masterpiece of chalk art on the wall until his daydreaming was interrupted when Nepeta brings (f/n) into the door. A brick seems to fall in Daves stomach as he now has two problems that both involve (f/n). Daves acting skills will come in handy as he tries extra hard to keep up the cool guy front thats totally not hiding years worth of crippling anxiety.

-Your point of view-

After your glance around the room Nepeta quickly dragged you up to her room to show you something, the shipping wall, you knew it was coming. A largely planned out board with likes and stickers and little notes next to people made up what you think, was Neps most prized possession, she treats it like the gospel pretty much. Her main ships or OTPs hadn't changed for the longest time such as Rose & Kanaya or Gamzee & Tavros, you though some ships were more unlikely then others but she had a method to her madness.

"isn't it beautiful" Nepeta says giggly

"its quite a sight every time I see it" you say taking a glance to where your sticker was who, now had Karkat and Dave floating around you with question marks, you decide to think nothing of it.

"Im a match maker and I hope this party will help push some pairs along the road of destiny!" She says confidently as you just laugh and make your way down stairs to leave her to admire her board. When you go back down you see that in that short time Jade, Sollux, Feferi, Equius and Aradia have come as well, almost everyone you know is here now. Well except Eridan, he doesn't really come to parties like these anymore as not everyone fancys him and last time Nepeta  threw up in his shoes. You were a bit impressed with how many people showed up but it was probably from Nepetas pestering on everyone, really just for her shipping wall in the end.

The little gathering continued on with everyone having their own conversations. You and Karkat were talking about recent romcoms you've watched because, after meeting Karkat you have to admit you got kinda addicted, not in the way Karkat is though, you find humor in them as he is enthralled in the story every time. You can feel a stare going through you, with a small glance you see Dave looking in your general direction while talking to john, you never really know where he is looking though with the shades and all, he could have his eyes closed for all you know.

After a while Nepeta suggested we should play a game that's would help her shipping wall... 'Oh great' "seven minutes I'm heven!!" She suggested
Nobody really said anything and kinda stood there awkwardly in front of a closet umtell Gamzees took Tavros hand and went in. You really hated these things and just didn't like them well cause it was obviously embarrassing and just awkward and you were bad in awkward situations.

after three minutes you heard Tavros giggle but there was music playing and it was kinda hard to hear plus people were still talking but Nepeta stayed by the door with wide eyes and a big smile.

After seven minutes Tavros came out with a blush and Gamzees just had a "fuck yeah" smile and then it was Feferi & Eridans turn and it was just filled with giggles.

You saw John going over to Nepeta and whisper something in her ear that made her really excited and John just went "shhhh". You knew he was planning something but you just didn't know then John made a signal to Nepeta and a crazy cat lady came running at you pushing you in the closet with someone else but didn't know who.

"What the fuck" you heard a familiar voice say in the cramed dark closet

It was Dave...Dave fucking Strider

"Oh shit" you say sighing you didn't know what to do and it was already awkward between you too and this wasn't going to help.

-DAVES POV-

Dumb ass John planned this you new it the second you saw him push you in the closet and just did a thumbs up sign 'did he know?' Ugh that didn't matter now you are stuck in a closet with someone you like and you don't want it to be weird any more

You got seven minutes I guess I'll just try.

~YOUR POV~

You heard Dave sigh and back up against the wall but it didn't help much cause you were already really close and he started to talk..." Alright look we got time I will just tell you my eyes are red cause I was born that way but I hate it its weird and not cool and p-" he stopped and thought for a second
"Please don't tell anyone else and I don't want shit all awkward anymore...well I want us to be friends ok I was avoiding you and that was dumb alright but let's like I don't fucking know start over ok?"
"U-uh ok yeah" you responded you could feel your face getting hot, this was gonna be a long seven minutes...
