the grey house
the view was rather grey,
the walls felt grim,
oh how one would hate to stay,
but the chances of leaving were slim.
it felt rather like a cage,
the hum and drum of the creaks,
it could lead to derange,
constantly listening to squeaks.
the breeze is to be missed,
the outside worlds charm,
it leads to questions that it exists,
the thought sends out quite an alarm.
hopefully it would be over soon,
and freedom could be tasted,
and even stare at the moon,
which isn't something to be wasted.
