Aftermath

Face to face

Elijah was trembling and crying. She had used the speaker for everyone to hear  the call.

"Elijah... " Yohan called out to her , he was on the other line and had heard everything. Jin Joo hugged poor Elijah trying to calm her down. Madame Ji rushed into the study room after hearing the scream. Jin Joo asked Madame Ji to take Elijah to her room for her to rest.

Jin Joo was about to cut the line with Gaon seeing how distraught Elijah was.  

"Hello Judges .... Do you remember me ? It's been a loong time. Did you miss me? I'm baaacccck." Lee Young Min laughed.  Jin Joo  recognized that voice , the young man that the public voted to  public flogging  last year for repeat offence on assault charges .......Minister Cha's only son, Lee Young Min. 

"Pity that I had to do this to Judge Kim , he wasn't there during my court hearing . But it was necessary to get your attention. I would  have gotten both of you ... Judge Oh. You would be a great addition to my side business, bit old but we can use you for other things. Pleasurable things.... We were careless to let you go. "  Jin Joo  clenched her fist. 

"You won't get away with this..."

"I don't intend to , I want to finish it. Don't worry for Judge Kim, he's not dead .....yet," giggled Lee Young Min stroking Gaon's hair. He tsked and looked at the unconscious  face.

" We're starting our vote soon. We're clearing our stock , once the vote reach   more  than 100,000 everything else will go with a blast!" laughed Lee Young Min. 

"Oh... Judge Kang... you should vote too. Seeing that you destroyed most of the furniture's in the courtroom. You should at least get one furniture for the new building out of good faith." Lee Young Min hackled again as if what he said was funny and hang up the phone. 

For a moment there was silence. 

"He knows , " said Jin Joo  softly. 

"I'm on the way to the courtroom  with Chief Jo. His team is going to the port to check on the the shipment coming in tonight."

"Just the two of you. Shouldn't you have back up to the courtroom? We don't know how many people there, " said Jin Joo worriedly. " What can I do to help ?"

"Check on Elijah for me and monitor  the voting number. See whether there is anyway that Elijah can help," Yohan grimly. He was gripping  on the steering wheel tightly until his nuckles were white and speeding across the road as fast as he can. Luckily he was driving Chief Jo's car, he can put on the siren to alert people.

He need to calm down. He need to be  the cold hard Judge Kang back again for both Elijah's and also Gaon's sake. Clearly, Lee Young Min was unstable. How long had he planned all of this? The last that he got news about Lee Young Min was that he and his father had left for United States , a day after his mother's funeral. 

Yohan did not regret sentencing Young Min, even though he was a pawn to manipulate Minister Cha, but he was also an offender, abusing his status , public destruction, numerous assault charges  for which he was uncountable if it wasn't for the public voices and so many more. He deserved what he got. What Yohan regretted was that he did not do a check up on his enemies. The last that he heard of Lee Young Min, after his sentence he had become a secluded wimp. Too scared to get out of the house. Then after his mother's death , he and his father had quietly left to America.
