Twenty four

James told me that he was going to hide behind the trees with Vanessa. The plan is that while the other's were dealing with the newborns, I will be with Edward. They knew that Victoria will catch on to them not being down there. Bella, she's still human. According to Alice, in order for Bella to be turned, she has to kill me.

"Naomi, its time."

"Do we have to be apart?" She asked him.

"Yes, but I promise that once this is over, I will marry you." Jasper tells her as he kissed her. "Go with Jacob and Edward. You'll be safe."

Naomi nodded as she got on Jacob's back. James watched them leave causing him to follow. Naomi doesn't have a scent, but they were being cautious as the newborns can't tell the difference between blood singers and mates.

That night, I couldn't sleep as I was too scared.

"Drew?" She looked at Edward as he got in the tent and sat beside her. "Can't sleep."

"I'm scared." She tells him. "All this because she believes James is dead."

Edward hugged her. "You don't see how important you are to this family. You and Mary." He tells her. "Jasper will do anything to keep his family safe. Mainly you two. I have a sister and a niece. We all see you two as family and we protect our family."

Naomi smiled. "I guess I can try to get some sleep." She said. "How do you manage to stay away from Alice?"

"I don't." He tells her. "She wants me up here while they have the one person who knows more about newborns down there. Once this is over, you'll see what I mean when we are back together."

Naomi nodded as she laid down. "I hope everyone is safe."

"They will be."

Standing with my family as we waited for the newborns. Last night, Alice wasn't her usual self. This was the first time she was away from Edward, but she was doing this for Naomi. That's what she told me after I told her she could go to Edward, but she refused.

"Here they come." She tells them.

I looked and she wasn't lying. Red eyes coming out of the water. I was ready to kill them so I can marry the love of my life.

I watched Vanessa and James hide behind the trees as Edward listened to the battle at the bottom of the mountain. I could tell that no one wasn't hurt beside the newborns.

"She knows that you're not down there." Edward said. "Someone's coming."

I watched as Riley appeared. I was actually scared as I could tell that Edward's words to Riley wasn't working. When Victoria appeared, I knew that I have to do the signal. Watching Riley, Edward, and Victoria fight, I knew Edward had no chance.

"Hey!" Naomi said catching Victoria's attention. "James isn't dead, you bitch."

"What do you mean?"

James walked out with Vanessa. "I faked my death so I could be with my actual mate. You were nothing."

"I will kill her!"

I watched Vanessa and Victoria fight as Seth killed Riley. I watched as Vanessa killed Victoria.

"It's finally over."

Bella stood as she watched the pack take Jacob home. Seeing the Volturi, she knew that she had to find a new way to get the Cullens and Naomi killed, but how.

"Carlisle, is he going to be okay?"

"He will be fine." He said. "He's looking for Leah."

Naomi smiled as Leah went in. "He could have told me that he imprinted." She said laughing. "Leah, tell him I'm shooting him for not telling me about you two."

"I will."

Carlisle looked at his daughter and smiled. "Naomi, it's time to go." He tells her.

Naomi knew her best friend was going to be okay and she will see him soon. For now, she wants to go home and be with her daughter after being away for two days.
