Tuesday, October 31st 1995:

"I can't believe you're making me go trick or treating. I haven't gone trick or treating since I was 7" Sam pouted.

"Come on it's not that bad," I said looking into the mirror.

"Why are we even going again?"

"I told you! I'm using you as an excuse to hang out with Victoria. She said she wanted free candy and it would have been weird to go trick or treating just us."

I turned around to face Sammy "how do I look?"

We decided to go as Ferris Bueller and Cameron and then Victoria is dressing up as Sloane. It's the perfect costume honestly... well almost. Sam's costume was a little difficult since we don't own a hockey jersey. So instead he just has a red shirt with a hokey logo taped onto it.

"You look fine" Sammy rolled his eyes. He honestly fits Cameron's part perfectly.

"Alright come on let's go. I told Victoria we'd be at her house at 7:00 and we still have to walk there. Oh and don't forget the pillowcases for the candy."
Before we left I made sure to grab my pocket knife and the room key and put each in my pocket. You can never be too careful.

Victoria house isn't too far of a walk so we made it there right on time. Sam simply stood there looking slightly bored as I rang the doorbell. It wasn't long before an older lady, I assume Victoria 's mom, answered the door.

"Oh hello! You must be Sam and Dean. I'm Joe Anne, Victoria 's mother" Joe Anne shook both Sam and I's hands.

"Victoria! Your friends are here!" she called into the house. "Oh please do come in!"

Sam and I awkwardly mumbled thank yous as we walked into the front of Victoria house. It wasn't an overly expensive house but it was more than Sammy and I have had in a long time and I couldn't help but feel out of pace.

It wasn't long before Victoria came down the stairs. She was already dressed in her Sloane outfit. She wore grey shorts with a white jacket atop a blue shirt.

"Hey dean," Victoria said once she finally made it down the stairs.

"Hey Victoria . This is Sam by the way." I shoved Sam forward.

"you guys are too cute! Let me get a photo!" Victoria's mom said as she scrambled to get her camera. Once she found it we all lined up together.

"One. Two. Three. Smile!" I couldn't help but squint as the flash shined.

"Oh so cute! Now a silly one!"

"Mom!" Victoria began dragging Sam and I out the door.

"At least take the camera with you so I can have pictures afterward," Victoria's mom said

"Ugh fine. Bye mom" Victoria took the camera from her mother and made her way to the door.

"Sorry about her she can be a bit much sometimes."

"Don't worry about it she seems nice!"

Now it was Sam's time to talk "Ok so how are we gonna do this? We need a plan of action so we get the most candy possible." I rolled my eyes at him. Earlier he was complaining and now he wants a game plan? Typical Sam.

"Hmm if I remember correctly from my trick or treating days the best houses were the ones farther into the neighborhood since those are the more expensive houses therefore expensive candy. So let's start there and make our way back that way we don't get tired before we get to the good stuff." We continued to walk down the street as we talked. Sam walked in front as Victoria and I walked side by side.
