"Heeeeey, Avery?" I looked up to see a begging Robert in front of me. I sighed, raising an eyebrow. "No, Robert, I will not buy you beer." Recently, the boys had found out that I was 21 and were attempting to take advantage. Robert gave me a glare, picking me up off the couch. "Uh, could you not see that I was watching TV?"
"Uh, could you not see that I want you to come to the store with me?" He mocked, carrying me to the car. "Robert, I'm not getting alcohol." I stated seriously, crossing my arms. "Pleeeease? I'll pay for it, but we're having a big party at Austin's family's beach house tonight. It has to be hype, and I really don't want to have to mess around with getting it from my brother." He pouted his lip, giving me an incredibly convincing look.
"Ugh. You're such a dick, and you knew that if you begged I'd say yes." I huffed, and he grinned at me, leaning over and kissing my cheek. I just sent him a glare, keeping my arms crossed. I had been living with the boys for about a month now, and so far it had been great.
"I'm invited to this party, right?" I questioned, uncrossing my arms and readjusting in the seat so I was looking at Robert. He shrugged, nodding. "Yeah, everyone is. Invite whoever you want." I nodded, making a mental note to invite Nyla and Eloise, my two best friends.
Nyla was modelling full time, so I didn't get to see her much. I lived with her before moving in with the boys, and when I told her that I wanted to move out because of how lonely it was, she freaked out a little. She started buying me random shit and complimenting me constantly because she felt like a bad friend. She understood, but she felt like it was a dick move on her part.
Eloise, on the other hand, was studing at NYU and lived in a dorm with a girl who she found annoying because of how quiet she was. Eloise was a loud ass girl with a big brain and goals. She was a workoholic, but when she was working, she made it fun.
Robert and I roamed the aisles of Safeway, searching for the perfect party materials. In other words, I drove the cart and Robert piled up the necessary items for what he called 'the perfect night.'
The subtotal ended up being $467.39, and I guess you could say that my mouth gaped open a little bit at that. Robert used Austin's credit card, and after that, we were on our way. I never realized that Austin came from such a wealthy home, mainly because he was so sweet and didn't act like a spoiled rich kid.
I decided not to think much of it, and instead pulled my phone out to text Eloise and Nyla.
'party tonight @ my roommates beach house. i don't know where exactly that is, but i can pick you guys up.'
Nyla text back almost immediately.
'What time?'
And then Eloise.
'r they cute? n wht time? also dress code?'
Typical Eloise. She was always looking for a new guy to get her hands on. I text them back.
'7:30. swimsuit and beachy shit. yes, they are adorable.'
"Hey, Rob?" I asked him as he pulled into the apartment's parking garage. "What's up baby?" he replied. "Can my friends and I ride with you or do you not have enough room?" He smirked at the mention of my friends. "How many? Are they hot?" I rolled my eyes. "Two, well three counting me. And yeah, I guess."
"Well, Austin and Alex are both driving, so we can make seating arrangements if you guys can be split up. I know how girls are." He retorted. "Do you really?" I chuckled back at his so called 'knowledge' of females. "And yes, we can be separated. We aren't twelve."
"Cool. Just tell them to be here at 5ish so we can get on the road. It's about 20 minutes out, and we have to set up." I nodded, thanking him. Tonight should be interesting.
