We had officially left for the beach house, and I was currently sitting in Austin's giant SUV in-between two of their good friends who were apparently named Zeke and Jack. They were currently arguing over who had the best ass.
"Okay, I understand that you're the one with the girlfriend, Jack, but that doesn't prove shit."
"How so?"
"Girls are just too jealous of my huge ass to date me."
I tried my best to stay out of their conversation, until one of them dragged me right in, asking, "Yo, Avery. Who has a nicer ass?" Zeke questioned. "Uh- what?" I pretended to act clueless. "You know what."
"I don't know, probably Jack." I joked. Zeke furrowed his eyebrows at me, looking hurt. Jack fist pumped, giving me a high five. "Jack, Zeke. Leave Avery alone. This is her first party with us. It's far too early to show Avery your true sides." I just chuckled, shaking my head at Austin's attempt to protect me.
"You're a beach house virgin?" Jack questioned, surprised. I nodded, shrugging. "I've only known the guys for like two weeks." Zeke laughed. "And you're not scared that they might be untrustworthy?" I blinked, thinking about my answer.
"Well, I think it's important to make mistakes, don't you?" I felt my eyebrow raise due to my slightly sassy remark toward the loud boy. "Touché." He muttered.
I noticed Austin's smirk in the mirror, and I tried to hold back my grin. Next to Austin, I could see Zach's eyes rolling to the back of his head. He thought it was funny too. It was crazy how after two short weeks with great people could make you feel like you finally had a family who loved you unconditionally. I hoped that Eloise and Nyla got along with everyone.
"Jack has a question!" Jack announced, putting his hand up in the air after a few seconds of silence. "What's going on between Avery and her chauffeur?" He smirked, wiggling his eyebrows. I blushed deeply, as Austin rolled his eyes, laughing slightly. "Jack, we're just friends." Zach snorted. "Yeah, and Zeke doesn't watch nugget porn." I laughed loudly, and soon enough the whole car followed, readjusting their focus to the blushing boy sitting beside me.
"It was a one time thing! That was our secret!" He attempted to defend himself, but only managed to make everyone laugh even more. "This is not making a good impression on the pretty girl." He muttered, making everyone smile. "You're not great at those first impressions, Bro." Jack patted him on the back.
And with that, I decided to put my headphones in, letting Drake serenade me to sleep.
