Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji were asleep in the guest room. Lan Wangji watched Wei Wuxian as he dreamed peacefully, knowing he'll just wake up from a nightmare. Hand in his own as he promised to not let go, kissing Wei Wuxians' forehead and smiling slightly as he pulled him closer.
"I love you, Wei Ying."
Not long after, he fell asleep, sure that his husband will be able to sleep alright.
The next day, an unexpected visit from Sect Leader Lan was announced. Jin Ling and Jiang Wanyin got ready and soon met with him in a pavilion.
"Sect Leader Lan."
"Sect Leader Jin, Sect Leader Jiang."
Lan Xichen stood up and bowed to them. Jiang Wanyin still clearly pissed.
"What brings you here, Lan Xichen qianbei?"
Jin Ling and Jiang Wanyin sat across him.
"I just wanted to... See if Wuxian is doing okay."
"And you think I'll let you see my brother?"
"I simply just want to apologize and check on him."
"Yeah sure. After you get trampled on by a horde of tigers."
"Jiujiu."
"What? You think I'll forgive them for what they did to your uncle?"
"I understand but, this is Sect Leader Lan. Maybe he does feel sorry."
"Feel sorry my foot, he sent Lan Wangji away when he was looking for A-Xian."
Jin Ling looked at Lan Xichen offended.
"Is that true, Sect Leader Lan?"
Lan Xichen looked down and nodded his head.
"Yes, yes it is true."
"Sect Leader Lan, in all due respect but what the hell?"
"I know that the treatment we gave Wuxian is bad but..."
"Excuses."
Lan Xichen lifted his head and was greeted with a glare from Jiang Wanyin.
"Your excuses are making me impatient."
"I'm sorry. It was the elders who are telling us."
"I knew it!"
Jiang Wanyin stood up and grabbed Lan Xichen by the collar.
"Jiujiu!"
"No! This bastard- You really are a coward!"
Lan Xichen can only avert his gaze. He knows that Jiang Wanyin is right. He is a coward.
"A-Cheng...?"
Jiang Wanyin looked at the direction of the entrance to the pavilion and saw Wei Wuxian with Lan Wangji.
"Wuxian. What are you doing here?"
"Well we were on a walk but we didn't know Sect Leader Lan would he here."
"Xiongzhang."
Lan Xichen did notice it, Wei Wuxians' stomach did infact got plump.
"Wuxian, I-"
Lan Xichen was stopped by Jin Ling who went to Wei Wuxian with a hug. This action made Wei Wuxian confused but at the same time soft, returning the favor back to Jin Ling.
"What is it, A-Ling?"
"Is your stomach hurting? Did you puke already?"
"Yes I did and don't worry, my stomach is fine."
