Lan Xichen returned back to Cloud Recesses. With Lan Shizui and Lan Jingyi.

"Sect Leader, what are you planning?"

"Anything to set things straight. I'm not going to be a coward for Wuxian."

"Sect Leader..."

"Wuxian is a sweet boy, he doesn't deserve any of this. I wish I wasn't too blinded... Tell every elder that we will be having a meeting in the main hall please."

"Yes, Sect Leader."

Lan Jingyi and Lan Shizui bowed before leaving to call the elders. Lan Xichen inhaled sharply, having courage to do this for Wei Wuxian. Walking to the main hall with his hands folded in fists. Guilty that a person so sweet is being mistreated by their own family. Time passed and the Elders were now gathered in the main hall, Lan Xichen entering a little later.

"Good afternoon, Elders."

The rest bowed before they sat properly.

"What is the purpose of this meeting, Xichen?"

"I am here to discuss about the past behavior of you to the account of Wei Wuxian. This behavior shall not be tolerated any longer."

"Xichen?"

"Wei Wuxian, my brother-in-law has been found pregnant with my brother's child. It may seem that it is a lie but no it is not. He is now a month pregnant and is staying in the care of the Lanling Jin clan."

"How did he get pregnant?!"

"That is a question that I yet to ask but I know Wuxian won't lie to me about it. Back to the topic, I want to list out all the wrongs we have done."

"What wrongs? We've never done anything wrong?"

Lan Xichen lowered his head as he folded his hands back into a tight hold.

"Lying is forbidden."

The elder sat offended as he met Lan Xichens' alarming gaze.

"Pardon my tone but the rest of us have done everything wrong. We've been so stuck up on the past and we've never been quite that good. I hold so many small regrets and that is keeping me from leading this clan. We have commited such great crimes against Wei Wuxian."

"Why are you protecting that Demonic cultivator?!"

"Demonic cultivator or not! He is my family! Wuxian may have hurt Wangji before but he has shown his great love for my brother! He helped our clan juniors while you get the chance to bad mouth him, degrade him, hurt him! Every chance you get! When he is alone! You make me send out Wangji to have the opportunity to hurt Wuxian! That bright person! That loving person that doesn't even know his self worth because you are taking it from him! That person that is so loving and that person that has such a beautiful smile! You're taking it away from him! Just hearing what we did and realizing what I did fills me up with guilt that I! Lan Xichen inhaled sharply as slow cold tears left his eyes.

"The rules of not displaying emotion, not to disrespect other people and not to be full of yourself! We broke them all! What's the point of even having rules when you break them and to unintentionally murder a precious heart that has never felt genuine love before! That heart that deserves so much love because it has given up it's own to everyone he has in life. That heart that is slowly breaking, that heart that broke before. That self-sacrificing heart that will do it again if he wanted to. That heart that I once saw as a bad thing but in the end it's so warm that I! I want to protect it! That I! I want to nurse him back to a state that he feels okay! That I! I want to make him feel like he deserves the love he gets because He deserved better!"
