Ndalo and I are washing dishes the others are in the lounge watching tv and that's when I remember that Ndalo hasn't been okay the whole time since I've arrived and she said we would talk about and I think now is the time to talk about it...

She turns and looks at me then sighs

Her:it's a long story Yaya

Me:there are a lot of dishes here Ndalo and they are sure going to take a while to finish so you might as well tell me

Her:well there's this guy...

She tells me about this guy called Lubanzi and how their relationship started and her 'cheating' on him the him laying his hands on her and then them talking about the break they are currently on

Her:I have realised that I love hima and it's been 5 months Yaya I miss him so much

Me:well I'm not going to judge you for still wanting to be with him even after he hit because I was there too and I'm still with your brother however are you really sure you love him because sometimes you think you love someone but it's just that you love the idea of having that person in your life have you just sat down and thought about the advantages and disadvantages with you two being together and do you really live him or you love the idea of having him in your life??

Her:I understand what you're saying and I fully understand the implications of being with someone that isn't compatible with you but I really love Lubanzi with him I can be myself at any given time he makes me happy it's like I forget my problems when I'm with the little things we do together matter and I haven't seen him in 5 months I miss him however I think this break was a good thing for us to reflect on ourselves and to think about what we really want

She hurries towards me gives me a hug and I just stand there awkwardly I have never been a person who is affectionate I even hardly do it with Busani and I never did it with Ndalo before I'm sure she must must have forgotten the love that I needed from my parents really turned me into a cold person and soon Ndalo realises that I'm a bit uncomfortable

I whine and eventually take him Busani goes back to the living room Nkosi immediately puts his hand inside my top trying to take out my boobs he wants me to breastfeed him I go with him upstairs and sit on the bed and breastfeed him while on my phone until he falls asleep thank god I don't think I'll shower I'm super tired and I showered before going downstairs anyway I get in bed with Nkosi and fall asleep

I feel someone shaking me what time is it now for someone to be waking me up it's Busani

I open my eyes and I see Busani hovering over me and that's when I realise Nkosi is not here

I pushed him off of me and turn my back towards him

I really miss Ndalo I deeply regret putting my hands on her I was just pissed of at the fact that she went to to sleep with another man while claiming she wants to be with me and I know that doesn't justify actions it's been 5 months I really love that girl a lot I want to be with her I think it's best if I call her maybe we can meet up and talk I just want to hold her in my arms

I take out my phone and go through my contacts until I find her number and then I call her it rings and she answers after it rings twice

This girl always calls me Lubanzi unlike everyone else that calls me Banzi

Me:hey Ndalo how are you??

She's nervous she's even stuttering I smile
