catching you crying over Saebyeok's death (requested)

After a busy day, when Hoyeon arrived home she thought she'd be greeted with hugs and kisses from you.

Instead, she felt this terrible sinking feeling in her chest when she heard what sounded like cries falling from your lips as she walked down the hall to your shared room.

"Y/N? Are you okay?" She asked as she rushed into the bedroom, finding you staring at the tv as tears fell down your cheeks.

You were curled up in her hoodie under the blankets. The box of tissues on the bedside table was almost full when she left this morning and it's almost empty now.

She was worried that something was very wrong. She hasn't seen you cry like this before. You looked devastated.

She came over to your side and pulled you into her arms, letting you lay your head on her shoulder.

"What is it, baby? What's wrong?"

You sniffled and nodded to the tv. She noticed you had paused what you were watching and it just took a couple of seconds for her to realize you were watching squid game.

It was the episode where Saebyeok had died.
She chuckled and you pulled away from her, looking at her in disbelief.

"You're laughing?"

"Not at you, baby. You're just so cute." She smiled as she stroked your cheek, wiping away your tears. "It's just a show, my love. That was just my character. I'm right here. I'm perfectly fine."

"You're fine but Saebyeok isn't!" You sniffled.

"Oh, come here, darling," she whispered and pulled you into her arms again, giving you a big comforting hug. "It's okay."

"You should've said something about this. I should've had a warning and time to prepare myself!" You cried.

"And spoil something for you? Why would I do that?" She chuckled as she caught your tears with her fingers.

"You did an amazing job playing Saebyeok." You said and watched her eyes sparkle.

"Thank you."

"I'm proud of you, but I'm still crushed. Saebyeok deserved better."

She just shook her head with a smile and held you close, finding it absolutely adorable how much you loved Saebyeok - a character she'll always hold close to her heart.
